In addition, the metallic gear teeth can be non-orthogonal to the axis. A polymer layer can be located on the metallic gear teeth to form polymer gear teeth on the metallic gear teeth. The polymer gear teeth can form the final gear teeth size of the gear.

Overload protection assembly
An overload protection assembly includes a first gear of a servo, a second gear of the servo, defining a receiving space; and a clutch configured to coaxially couple the first gear to the second gear and transmit torque between the first gear and the second gear. The clutch includes an elastic member arranged around the first gear and received in the receiving space. The elastic member includes a number of protrusions at a circumferential surface thereof, and a number of recesses are defined in a lateral surface of the receiving space. The protrusions are used to be respectively engaged with corresponding ones of the recesses so as to couple the firs gear to the second gear when a value of the torque is less than a preset value, and disengageable from the corresponding ones of the recesses so as to disconnect the first gear.
Overload protection assembly
An overload protection assembly includes a first gear of a servo, a second gear of the servo, defining a receiving space; and a clutch configured to coaxially couple the first gear to the second gear and transmit torque between the first gear and the second gear. The clutch includes an elastic member arranged around the first gear and received in the receiving space. The elastic member includes a number of protrusions at a circumferential surface thereof, and a number of recesses are defined in a lateral surface of the receiving space. The protrusions are used to be respectively engaged with corresponding ones of the recesses so as to couple the firs gear to the second gear when a value of the torque is less than a preset value, and disengageable from the corresponding ones of the recesses so as to disconnect the first gear.

The planet carrier is configured to be rotatably connected with the output shaft to drive the output shaft during operation, and there is a gap between an inner side surface of the planet carrier and a circumferential surface of the output shaft. A buffer mechanism is provided on at least one of the inner side surface of the planet carrier and the circumferential surface of the output shaft near the gap. The buffer mechanism is configured not to actively apply pressure to the output shaft and the planet carrier, and to buffer the impact force between the output shaft and the planet carrier, when the output shaft slides relative to the planet carrier under the action of inertial force.

The freewheel device is in a freewheeling state at a first rotational speed and in a coupled state at a second rotational speed. The second rotational speed is higher than the first rotational speed.

The freewheel device is in a freewheeling state at a first rotational speed and in a coupled state at a second rotational speed. The second rotational speed is higher than the first rotational speed.

A transmission or gearbox assembly with fail-safe means for providing redundancy where failure can lead to loss of torque transmission between component parts of the assembly, the assembly comprising a plurality of first components in torque transmitting engagement and at least one second component associated with at least one of the first components, the second component being joined to the respective first component by a discontinuous joint.
