A fixing device adapted to be fixed on a structure is disclosed, which includes a connecting member, a first fixing plate, a second fixing plate, and a hanging ring. The connecting member has a base, a first bar, a second bar, and a third bar. The first bar and the second bar are respectively engaged with two sides of the base. The third bar is engaged with the base. The first and the second fixing plates respectively have a body adapted to be fixed on the structure, and two sleeves respectively fit around the first bar and the second bar, whereby the first and the second fixing plates are pivotable relative to the connecting member. The hanging ring is engaged with the third bar in a rotatable manner. Whereby, the first and the second fixing plates could be engaged with the structure to provide a firm supporting point.

A fall protection apparatus includes a heavy support base with a pivotal mast having a top member for rotation around the axis of the mast carrying a series of booms pivotal about respective vertical axes, each having an end coupling member for receiving a fall restraint harness. Each boom is formed by a tube which fractures on a fall and an elongate stainless steel strap inside the tube which bends without fracturing. The mast includes a series of telescopic rectangular mast sections with a winch driven cable and pulley arrangement for extending the first section which acts to pull the second inner section to the extended position as the first inner section moves out of the outer section. Each section includes first and second pulleys mounted at the same face of the section with the cable located between the face of the section and the face of the next section.

FALL ARREST APPARATUS

A fall arrest apparatus including a force damping subsystem having a damper, a brake release mechanism connected to the force damping subsystem and arranged to trigger when a force having a sufficient magnitude is transmitted to the brake release mechanism, and a brake mechanism including an energy storage device arranged to deploy at least one anchor when the brake release mechanism is triggered. The force is provided by a falling object to the force damping subsystem and the force damping subsystem is arranged to decelerate the falling object after the brake release mechanism is triggered.

Variable-height attachment point system for a safety harness

Systems and methods relate to a operator selectable, variable-height attachment point system for a safety harness, where the attachment point is disposed on a radial support member that can be reversibly coupled to a vertical support member, and where the attachment point height can be selected by the operator by reversing a coupled orientation of the radial support member to the vertical support member.

Safety Apparatus for Arresting a Fall of a Worker

A safety apparatus (10) includes a weight pan (18) removably receiving a plurality of weights (W) pivotably mounted about a pan axis (A) between frame sides (12). Wheels are rotatably mounted to the first ends of the frame sides (12). An I-shaped main frame (40) is pivotably mounted to the frame about a first frame axis (J) generally perpendicular to the pan axis (A) and also a second frame axis (E) generally parallel to the pan axis (A). By pivoting the main frame (40) about the first frame axis (J), a steering function is provided to the frame. By pivoting the main frame (40) about the second frame axis (E), the frame is pivoted between an actuated position with the weight pan (18) resting upon a surface and a transport position with the weight pan (18) spaced from the surface and with the frame moveable on the surface (102).

SAFETY ANCHOR

The safety anchor includes a base, which is fixable to a roof structure; an absorber, which is attached to the base; and a housing, which houses the absorber. A clamping member is provided within the housing for clamping the housing against the base.

Fall restraint system for roof work

A fall restraint for a worker on a roof comprising a yoke line, wherein a first end of the yoke line is releasably connected to a first building structure and a second end of the yoke line is releasably connected to a second building structure. The fall restraint also comprises a support line, wherein a first end of the support line is slidably connected to the yoke line, and a second end of the support line is connected to a worker harness, wherein the support line is adapted to travel over a ridge line of the roof and at least partially support the weight of the worker.

Proximity lanyard system

A system and method for detecting securement of a proximity lanyard system to a bucket anchor in a bucket having a proximity sensor positioned therein. The proximity lanyard system can include an elongated body portion having a first end and a second end; a harness attachment positioned at the first end of the body portion; an anchor attachment positioned at the second end of the body portion; and a sensor substrate section comprising a sensor substrate and being integrated with the second end of the flexible body portion. The proximity sensor can detect the sensor substrate when the anchor attachment is connected to the bucket anchor.
