Load indicator for a fall protection apparatus
A load indicator for use with a fall protection apparatus having a line and a connector for connecting to a user includes a housing having a pass-through opening and a covered indicator region. At least a portion of the housing is configured for connecting to the line. The load indicator also includes a shear pin supported by the housing and extending across the pass-through opening, and a saddle extending across at least a portion of the pass-through opening and supported by at least a portion of the shear pin. The saddle is configured for connecting to at least a portion of the connector. The saddle is movable relative to the housing between a first position and a second position when a force exceeding a predetermined threshold value is applied on the saddle causing the shear pin to shear or break. At least a portion of the indicator region is uncovered in the second position of the saddle when the shear pin shears or breaks.
DEVICE FOR BRAKING THE FALL OF A LOAD
A device (1) is described for braking the fall of a load comprising a sling (2) and a braking element (3, 30), said sling (2) comprising a first end (21) constrainable to an anchoring point; a second end (22) constrainable to said load; a folded section (23) comprising a first portion (23a) of said sling (2) reversibly joined to a second portion (23b) of said sling (2), said folded section (23) providing a resistance to the separation of said first and second portions (23a, 23b). The sling further comprises a first free section (24) comprised between said first portion (23a) of said folded section (23) and said first end (21); and a second free section (25) comprised between said second portion (23b) of said folded section (23) and said second end (22). The braking element (3, 30) comprises a plurality of passages for said sling (2), said first free section (24) crossing at least one first passage (3a), said second free section (25) crossing at least one second passage (3b), so that said first portion (23a), as a consequence of the application of a traction force (FT, FT) higher than a threshold value to at least one of said two ends (21, 22), separates from said second portion (23b) and crosses said first passage (3a), and said second portion 23b crosses said second passage (3b).
Vehicle with a low gravity center and aerial work platform
The present invention relates to the field of engineering mechanics and more particularly, relates to an engineering work vehicle, and most particularly, relates to a vehicle with a low gravity center and aerial work platform. The vehicle includes a vehicle frame, a power system, a fuel tank, and a hydraulic tank all of which are mounted at a side of the frame. Correspondingly, the embodiment of the invention also provides an aerial work platform which provides better off-road performance and grade-ability, can work in complicated environment, and owns a longer horizontal reach and larger working range. Moreover, maintenance and repair cost is decreased, lifetime is extended, integrity is higher and appearance looks better.
Fall Arrest Lanyard with Restraint Relief Arrangement
A fall arrest lanyard includes a strap body having a fastening end, a securing end, and a relief portion, and restraint relief arrangement being actuated between a normal operated condition and a relief condition. The restraint relief arrangement includes first and second connectors spacedly affixed at the strap body to define the relief portion thereof between the first and second connectors. At the normal operated condition, the second connector is detachably connected to the first connector to shorten a length of the relief portion of the strap body. At the relief condition, the second connector is detached from the first connector, so that the relief portion is able to be fully extended to create a relief length for allowing the user to escape restraint when the user is restrained by the strap body.
FALL PROTECTION SYSTEM
A fall protection system having a top bracket assembly that is mountable to a top portion of the ladder, a spaced bottom bracket assembly that is mountable to a bottom portion of the ladder, and a cable extending therebetween portions of the top bracket assembly and the bottom bracket assembly substantially parallel to a plane bisecting the vertical ladder at a desired distance from the plane.
Buffering Backpack Device for Falling Protection
A backpack body has an openable accommodation chamber having a top opening. The accommodation chamber utilizes a restricting structure to position an energy absorption band. The energy absorption band includes a first layer and a second layer that are coincidingly bound. The top ends of the first and second layers extend first and second connecting portions respectively. The first and second connecting portions divergently protrude from the backpack body via the opening. The first connecting portion is configured for coupling with a safety harness, while the second connecting portion is for coupling with an anti-falling device. When the user falls, the falling makes the restricting structure release the first and second layers, so that the first and second layers leave the accommodation chamber via the opening for anti-falling suspension. Accordingly, the present invention has real improvements, including fine appearance, economic efficiency, and etc.
SELF-RETRACTING LANYARD WITH FALL PROTECTION HARNESS TRACKER
A self-retracting lanyard system includes a self-retracting lanyard having a main body and a retractable line, a harness connected to the retractable line and wearable by the user of the self-retracting lanyard, and an electronic device disposable on the harness. The electronic device includes an accelerometer, a processor or programmable circuit, and a non-transitory program storage medium on which are stored instructions executable by the processor or programmable circuit to perform operations including receiving a measurement from the accelerometer, comparing the measurement to a threshold, detecting that the user of the self-retracting lanyard has fallen based on a result of the comparing, and instructing a wireless transmitter to transmit a wireless signal in response to the detection that the user has fallen.
Personnel safety cable mount assembly
A personnel safety cable mount assembly for a floor having a frustoconical recess in the floor. In one preferred embodiment, the assembly includes a base receivable in and through an opening or recess of the floor. A pole extends vertically from the base. A connector bracket is located at a top of the pole. At least one lanyard is connected to the connector bracket with the lanyard having an extending cable adapted to attach to personnel.
Fall Protection Device
A fall-protection device for use with a safety harness of a user includes a housing configured to be connected to the safety harness. The fall-protection device further includes a lifeline extending from the housing. The lifeline includes a lifeline end distal to the housing and configured to be coupled to an anchor. The lifeline is retractable or extendable relative to the housing. The lifeline is extendable relative to the housing from a retracted state in which a length of the lifeline extending out of the housing is minimum. The fall-protection device further includes a flexible cover extending from the housing and coupled to the housing and the lifeline. The flexible cover at least partially encloses the lifeline. The flexible cover contracts or expands as the lifeline retracts or extends, respectively, relative to the housing.
Bridge Rope Assembly
A bridge rope assembly includes a main body comprising a rope that has a first end and a second end. The rope has a splice therein to form an eye loop in the main body.
