HARNESS WITH BRAIDED LEAD
According to aspects of the present disclosure, a harness comprises two limb loops created from a harness knot coupled to a lead via the two limb loops of the harness knot at a first end of the lead. The lead is a braided lead, and a single-bowline knot creates a single-bowline loop at a second end of the lead. Further, a removable fastener prevents the braided lead from unbraiding and is removably coupled to the lead in a final loop of the braided lead and removably coupled to the two limb loops of the harness knot. Moreover, the limb loops, lead, and single-bowline loop are made from an integral piece of rope. The braided lead does not unravel while the removable fastener is in place. However, when the removable fastener is removed, the braided lead may unravel to create a rescue rope with a harness.
APPARATUS FOR ANCHORING A FALL PROTECTION SYSTEM AND TRANSMITTING A FALL ALERT
A weight-activated anchoring and alerting apparatus which serves as both (a) an anchoring device or anchoring extension for a fall arrest or other fall protection system and (b) an automatic alarm system which notifies rescue personnel or others when the worker, hunter, or other person wearing the fall protection system has fallen and is in need of rescue.
NON-PENETRATING ROOF SAFETY SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION AND USE FOR SLOPED ROOFTOPS
An improved roof safety system allows temporary installation without damaging the roof or building by using non-penetrating C-shaped anchors to hook onto eaves on opposing sides of the roof with the anchors connected by a single, continuous anchor line under tension. Installation of primary components do not require a user to access the roof, as they may be installed from the ground or a ladder position. Slidable anchors connectable to an anchor line and lifeline allow free movement along the line in a first direction and block movement in a second opposite direction, allowing a user to anchor to the line at a selected position and then securely move about the roof's surface in an area generally disposed in the second direction while being protected from a fall. An optional wedge-stopper can aid in single-user installation.
Safety System with Digital Tracking and Reporting and Method of Use
A safety monitoring harness system for the protection of a climber is disclosed. Comprising the safety monitoring harness system comprising a base, an alarm system, a strap length sensor assembly, a PCB, a first tether assembly, a second tether assembly and a power system. The first tether assembly and the second tether assembly each comprise a strap, a retraction assembly, and an anchoring hook. The safety monitoring harness system is configured to selectively attach to the climber by: securing a harness assembly to the climber, and securing the base to the harness assembly. a portion of the retraction assembly for each of the first tether assembly and the second tether assembly are enclosed within the base. The anchoring hook retract and extend between a plurality of lengths from the base.
Safety system and lifting equipment comprising such a safety system
Disclosed is a safety system for at least one person positioned on a platform of a lifting equipment, including a lanyard attaching the person to the platform. The length of the lanyard is variable, and the safety system includes: a sensor for measuring the distance between one end of the lanyard attached to the person and one end of the lanyard attached to the platform, and a unit for processing the measurement from the sensor, suitable for transmitting information and/or warning signals.
Safety system with digital tracking and reporting and method of use
A safety monitoring harness system for the protection of a climber comprising: said safety monitoring harness system comprising a base, a one or more tether assemblies, a retraction assembly, an alarm system, a strap length sensor assembly, and a power system. Said one or more tether assemblies comprising at least a first tether assembly and a second tether assembly. Said one or more tether assemblies each comprising a strap, and an anchoring hook. Said safety monitoring harness system is configured to selectively attach to said climber by: attaching a harness assembly to said climber, and securing said base to said harness assembly. A portion of said retraction assembly is enclosed within said base. Said retraction assembly are configured to selectively retract and release portions of said strap from within said base.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING THE CONDITION OF A FALL - PROTECTION SAFETY SYSTEM
Systems and methods for monitoring and reporting the condition of a permanent fall-protection safety system. The systems and methods use a sensor to obtain data corresponding to a physical state of at least one component of the safety system, the at least one component and the sensor being at a remote location and/or at an elevated height, relative to a base unit. The systems and methods further include wirelessly transmitting the data to the base unit, processing the data to reach an indication of a change in a physical state of the at least one component of the safety system, and reporting the condition of the safety system based on the indication of the physical state of the at least one component of the safety system.
SHOCK ABSORPTION DEVICE INCLUDING DUAL FALL PREVENTION BAND
Disclosed is a shock absorption device including a dual fall prevention band connected to a safety rope connected to a safety harness that a worker wears. The shock absorption device including the dual fall prevention band includes a dual fall prevention band and a shock absorption band. The dual fall prevention band is shaped like a closed loop by coupling opposite ends thereof through a first seam, and the first ring, the second ring, a third ring, and a fourth ring are formed by coupling parts of the dual fall prevention band that face each other at a first position to each other through a second seam, and coupling parts of the dual fall prevention band that face each other at a second position to each other through a third seam.
Self-retracting lanyard with fall protection harness tracker
A self-retracting lanyard system includes a self-retracting lanyard having a main body and a retractable line, a harness connected to the retractable line and wearable by the user of the self-retracting lanyard, and an electronic device disposable on the harness. The electronic device includes an accelerometer, a processor or programmable circuit, and a non-transitory program storage medium on which are stored instructions executable by the processor or programmable circuit to perform operations including receiving a measurement from the accelerometer, comparing the measurement to a threshold, detecting that the user of the self-retracting lanyard has fallen based on a result of the comparing, and instructing a wireless transmitter to transmit a wireless signal in response to the detection that the user has fallen.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SECURING A VERTICAL LINE
An anchor is provided for securing a strand from a wall aperture having a maximum height dimension and a maximum width dimension greater than the maximum height dimension. The anchor has an anchor body member having a first wall engagement surface on a lateral side there-of and a strand-securing aperture. A first hook member is attached to the anchor body member, extends laterally therefrom, and has a second wall engagement surface that intersects and is perpendicular to the first wall engagement surface. A second hook member attached to the first hook member has a longitudinal hook length and a third wall engagement surface parallel to, spaced apart from and opposing the first wall engagement surface. The first and third engagement surfaces define a slot with a width greater than the wall thickness. The longitudinal hook length is less than the maximum aperture width and greater than the maximum aperture height.
