Disclosed is a system comprising a variator and a transmission. The transmission housing includes a mounting joint transmission face and one or more transmission ports disposed in the mounting joint transmission face that are fluidly connected in a one-to-one correspondence to one or more transmission channels in the transmission housing. The variator housing may comprise a mounting joint variator face coupled to the mounting joint transmission face and one or more variator ports disposed in the mounting joint variator face. The one or more variator ports may be fluidly connected in a one-to-one correspondence to one or more variator channels in the variator housing. The one or more variator ports are fluidly connected in a one-to-one correspondence to the one or more transmission ports without the use of one or more external hoses to fluidly connect the one or more variator ports to the one or more transmission ports.

A road milling machine includes a machine frame, at least three travelling devices, a milling drum, and at least one hydraulic drive system. The hydraulic drive system includes at least one hydraulic pump, at least one hydraulic fixed displacement motor for driving at least one driven travelling device, and one each hydraulic variable displacement motor for driving the remaining travelling devices. A first gearbox is arranged between the fixed displacement hydraulic motor and its associated travelling device. One each second gearbox is arranged between each of the hydraulic variable displacement motors and their associated travelling devices. The transmission ratio of the first gearbox is lower than the transmission ratios of the second gearboxes and/or the displacement volume of the fixed displacement motor is smaller than the maximum displacement volume of the variable displacement motors.

Fluid expansion tank

A hydraulic fluid expansion tank is located inside a housing of a drive device. The expansion tank comprises a siphon tube in communication with a sump located within the drive device and also comprises a vent opening in communication with a vent of the drive device that is in communication with atmospheric pressure. The fluid expansion tank is positioned and restrained within the drive device without the use of fasteners.

A wheeled work vehicle includes: a transmission transmitting the rotational power of a traveling hydraulic motor to wheels; a traveling control valve having an interruption position that interrupts supply of hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic pump to the traveling hydraulic motor; a shift changeover valve that shifts the speed stage of the transmission by the position of the shift changeover valve being selectively switched; and a controller that controls the traveling control valve and the shift changeover valve. The controller switches the traveling control valve to the interruption position, then switches the position of the shift changeover valve such that the speed stage of the transmission is shifted to the low speed stage, and switches the traveling control valve from the interruption position to an original position side before the switching in a case where the controller shifts the transmission from the high speed stage to the low speed stage.

Hydromechanical transmission and control method

Methods and systems for a hydromechanical transmission are provided herein. In one example, the transmission operating method includes asynchronously shifting between a first pair of drive ranges in the transmission via operation of two clutches and a variable displacement hydraulic pump in a hydrostatic assembly. In the method, asynchronously shifting between the two drive ranges includes a plurality of phases that include a swiveling phase where a speed of the hydrostatic assembly is inverted.

HYDROMECHANICAL TRANSMISSION AND CONTROL METHOD

Methods and systems for a hydromechanical transmission are provided herein. In one example, the transmission operating method includes asynchronously shifting between a first pair of drive ranges in the transmission via operation of two clutches and a variable displacement hydraulic pump in a hydrostatic assembly. In the method, asynchronously shifting between the two drive ranges includes a plurality of phases that include a swiveling phase where a speed of the hydrostatic assembly is inverted.

A mobile work machine has a drive unit for driving at least one drive element and/or a working element. The drive unit is hydromechanical drive unit with at least one internal combustion engine and hydraulic energy transmission unit with at least one hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor. In normal operation, the motor shaft of the internal combustion engine rotates at a normal speed (n_0). Conversely, in a limit temperature operation in which a sensed actual operating temperature of the internal combustion engine or another part of the drive unit is higher than or equal to a target limit temperature (T_limit), an electrical control unit and/or electronic control unit controls the internal combustion engine in such a way that the motor shaft of the internal combustion engine rotates at a first speed (n_target) that is higher than the normal speed (n_0) of the motor shaft in normal operation.
