11898639 · 2024-02-13 · ·

A seal is formed of two identical seal halves (1). Each seal half (1) comprises a front fitting (4), a rear fitting (5), a compressible part placed between the front fitting (4) and the rear fitting (5) and a number of screws (7, 14, 18, 21). Said screws goes through openings in the front fitting (4), the rear fitting (5) and the compressible part. The compressible part comprises a first material (2), a second material (3) and a middle fitting (6) placed between first material (2) and the second material (3). The first material (2), the second material (3) and the middle fitting (6) have through openings for receiving the screws (7, 14, 18, 21).

FIRE PROTECTION ELEMENT

A fire protection element is useful for the separation of openings passing through walls or ceilings, in particular of line passages. The fire protection element has a core consisting of a filling material and a frame. The frame surrounds the core at least in some sections in a circumferential direction and is fixedly connected to the core. Furthermore, the frame is made from an intumescent material and has a reinforcing element.

Fireproofing article and method of manufacturing the same
10486003 · 2019-11-26 · ·

This invention relates to a fireproofing article and the method of manufacturing the same. The fireproofing article comprises an external portion and an inner portion. The external portion defines external surfaces of the fireproofing article that are exposed to the environment. The inner portion is formed inside of the external portion. The external portion and the inner portion are both porous and made of a fireproofing material. The external portion has a first material density and the inner portion has a second material density. The first material density is less than the second material density. The method of manufacturing a fireproofing article comprises forming the fireproofing article with a fireproofing material through 3D printing; wherein the fireproofing article formed is porous.

FIRE DAMPER

A fire damper for an air distribution system includes a body defining a flow path and a closure means adapted to close the flow path when a temperature within the flow path exceeds a predetermined maximum temperature. A first flange is fixed to the body and a mounting means comprising a second flange is slidably engageable with and removable from the body. The mounting means comprises securing means for securing the mounting means to the body such that a building element through which the fire damper extends, in use, can be clamped between the first and second flanges. A flexible insulating sleeve configured for use with a fire damper, and a method of installing a fire damper, are also disclosed.

A FIRE COLLAR

This invention relates to a fire collar (10). The fire collar includes a body (11) that is constructed from a flexible, elongate strip of steel (12) having a first end portion (13) associated with one end thereof and an opposing second end portion (14) associated with the opposite end thereof. The fire collar (10) also includes actuation means, including a plurality of torsion springs (28) manufactured from spring steel, such as spring steel having a diameter of 4 mm or 5 mm. Each torsion spring (28) includes a spring body (29) comprising one or more helical coils, and two tails, (30) and (31), that extend outwardly away from opposite ends of the body.

WALL GAP FIRE BLOCK DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
20190344103 · 2019-11-14 ·

Fire block devices for application to a wall component, a wall component with a fire block device and wall assemblies including the same. The fire-block device can be a wall component that includes a fire-resistant material strip that expands in response to sufficient heat to create a fire-resistant barrier. In some applications, the fire-block wall component is positioned to extend lengthwise along and across a gap between wallboard members. The fire-block wall component may have a central portion and a pair of side portions extending in opposite directions from the central portion. The fire-resistant material may be positioned on the central portion of the fire-block device. The central portion may be positioned within the gap such that the fire-resistant material expands in response to sufficient heat to create a fire-resistant barrier.

Fire and smoke containment services transit unit and an associated method
10471284 · 2019-11-12 · ·

The fire and smoke containment services transit unit includes a casing constructed from a material having a thermal conductivity of less than 5 watts per meter per Kelvin. The casing defines a first opening at a first end and a second opening at the second end. Intermediate the first and second end is the internal volume that is encased by the casing. The internal volume and each of the openings are sized to allow services such as cables, pipes, etc. to be threaded through the services transit unit. An intumescent material is housed centrally within the internal volume. Prior to exposure to the heat of a fire, the intumescent material maintains a slim profile. However, when the transit unit is exposed to the heat associated with a building fire, it swells and thereby seals the internal volume against the passage of fire, smoke or heated gases through the transit unit.

Fire suppressing insulation

A fire suppressing insulation. This insulation will create a barrier that blocks a fire to protect a structure from damage and will assist in suppressing the fire. Also, a fire suppression system including two walls, such as an interior wall and an exterior wall or two interior walls. The walls are spaced apart from each other by a divider to define an interior volume. At least a portion of the interior volume includes fire suppressing insulation that will form a fire suppressing intumescent barrier between the walls when exposed to the heat of a fire.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING SMOKE RELEASE OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS IN BUILDING AIR HANDLING SPACE PRODUCTS

A method for reducing smoke in a building fire includes integrating a non-halogen flame retardant into a printed circuit board, installing the printed circuit board in an electronic device, and installing the electronic device in an air handling space.
