Fire-protection collar
The present invention relates to a fire-protection-collar element (10) for forming a fire-protection collar (35) for closing through-passages in walls (38), ceilings and/or floors in the event of a fire. The present invention also relates to a method for forming a fire-protection collar (35) for closing through-passages in walls (38), ceilings and/or floors in the event of a fire.
Ceiling fixture firestop
A system for use with a ceiling fixture, a portion of which projects though an opening in a ceiling wall, for assisting in preventing spread of fire through the opening. The system has a metal collar for lining the opening. The metal collar has an upper rim overlying a top surface of the ceiling wall at the opening, a middle section facing an inner edge of the ceiling wall at the opening and a lower rim underlying a bottom surface of the ceiling wall at the opening. The system also has an intumescent ring for surrounding the projecting portion of the fixture so as to be interposed between the metal collar and the projecting portion of the fixture.
INTUMESCENT NON-METAL MESH
An intumescent mesh comprises a mesh structure woven from strands that define openings in the mesh structure, the strands being made from non-metal materials. An intumescent material is applied to the strands, the intumescent material being carried such that, in an inactivated state the intumescent material permits airflow through the openings in the mesh structure, and in an activated state, the intumescent material swells and restricts airflow through the openings in the mesh structure. The intumescent mesh is able to withstand a temperature of at least 980° C. for at least 10 minutes prior to failure.
Containment system for hazardous products
A system for storing a hazardous product including a housing unit defining a product opening and a product door coupled to the housing unit adjacent to the product opening, wherein the product door is configured to form a seal with the housing unit about the product opening in response to a thermal event.
Fire damper
A fire damper for an air distribution system includes a body defining a flow path and a closure means adapted to close the flow path when a temperature within the flow path exceeds a predetermined maximum temperature. A first flange is fixed to the body and a mounting means comprising a second flange is slidably engageable with and removable from the body. The mounting means comprises securing means for securing the mounting means to the body such that a building element through which the fire damper extends, in use, can be clamped between the first and second flanges. A flexible insulating sleeve configured for use with a fire damper, and a method of installing a fire damper, are also disclosed.
Composite material and fire protection element for sealing passage openings and joints in components
A composite material, a method for the production thereof, and a fire protection element containing the composite material can be used for the protection of passage openings in components in the event of fire, such as building parts, through which conduits are guided. The composite material can also be used as a fire protection element for sealing passage openings and/or joints in components.
INTUMESCENT COATED VENT FOR LARGE PASSENGER VEHICLES
A vent with louvres or punched holes for allowing airflow between an exterior of a vehicle and an engine bay of the vehicle, wherein the vent has an exterior side and an interior side and is formed from a panel, in which the louvres or the punched holes are located, wherein the interior side of the vent is provided with an intumescent coating. The intumescent coating will inhibit the spread of flame from the engine bay to the exterior of the vehicle thus containing the fire for a much longer period.
CABLE TRAY FIRESTOP DEVICE
A firestopping apparatus including a housing defined by first and second housing members. Each housing member includes a width direction wall panel and a height direction wall panel. The width direction wall panel of the first housing member is configured to connect with the height direction wall panel of the second housing member and the width direction wall panel of the second housing member is configured to connect with the height direction wall panel of the first housing member to define an assembled housing with a through passage. Intumescent material is positioned along an inner surface of each wall panel. A compressible foam is positioned within the intumescent material and substantially closes off the through passage.
Fire damper actuator system
A fire damper actuation system in an HVAC system includes a damper system and an actuator system. The damper system includes damper blades rotatable between an open configuration and a closed configuration, a crank arm assembly configured to drive the damper blades, a spring assembly configured to be held in a loaded condition when the damper blades are in the open configuration, a temperature-activated fusible link, and a fusible link arm coupling the temperature-activated fusible link to the crank arm assembly. The actuator system includes a motor and a drive device. The drive device is coupled to the crank arm assembly and the temperature-activated fusible link. Operation of the drive device by the motor between a first end stop location and a second end stop location simultaneously rotates the crank arm assembly and the temperature-activated fusible link to complete a test inspection procedure.
