A gear system includes a carrier having a first portion and a separate, second portion and a plurality of pin shafts extending from the first portion of the carrier. Each of the plurality of pin shafts includes a first end and a second end. As such, the first ends are integrally formed with the first portion of the carrier. The first and second portions are arranged on opposing sides of the plurality of pin shafts and are spaced apart such that the first and second portions do not contact each other. Further, the second portion of the carrier defines an end plate that is secured to the second ends of the plurality of pin shafts. The gear system also includes a plurality of gears mounted to the plurality of pin shafts, with each of the plurality of gears arranged so as to rotate around one of the plurality of pin shafts.
Method of assembly for fan drive gear system with rotating carrier
A method of assembling a fan drive gear system for a gas turbine engine according to an example of the present disclosure includes the steps of providing a unitary carrier defining a central axis and that includes spaced apart walls and circumferentially spaced mounts defining spaced apart apertures at an outer circumference of the carrier, gear pockets defined between the walls and extending to the apertures, and a central opening in at least one of the walls. The method includes the steps of inserting a plurality of intermediate gears through the central opening, moving the intermediate gears radially outwardly relative to the central axis into the gear pockets, inserting a sun gear through the central opening, moving the plurality of intermediate gears radially inwardly relative to the central axis to engage the sun gear, and coupling a fan shaft to the carrier such that the fan shaft and intermediate gears are rotatable about the central axis. A fan drive gear system is also disclosed.
ELECTROMECHANICAL PARK LOCK
The invention relates to a gearbox (40) having a park lock (42) which is integrated in a gearbox housing (60) of the gearbox (40). Said park lock comprises a transfer device (48), a detent (50), and a park lock gear (52). Outside the gearbox housing (60) there is an electromechanical actuator (44), which is centred on an interface to the transfer device (48) on the gearbox housing (48) and is sealed off from the gearbox housing (60) there.
Transmission case
A transmission case having a storage area inside for an assembling member, includes a first opening in the storage area; a seating portion provided in the storage area and on which the assembling member inserted from an opening direction of the first opening is to be seated; and a mirror-finished portion allowing an opposite portion of the assembling member facing the seating portion to be visually recognized when the assembling member is being inserted to the first opening from the opening direction.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING DOUBLE HELICAL PLANETARY SYSTEM
In one embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a planetary gear system. The planetary gear system includes a split double helical ring gear having a first ring gear with first helical ring teeth and a second ring gear with second helical ring teeth, a split double helical sun gear having a first sun gear with first helical sun teeth and a second sun gear with second helical sun teeth, a sun gear coupler coupling the first sun gear and the second sun gear; and a single-piece double helical planet pinion having a first helical planet teeth portion and a second helical planet teeth portion, where the first helical planet teeth mesh with the first helical sun teeth and the first helical ring teeth, and the second helical planet teeth mesh with the second helical sun teeth and the second helical ring teeth.
GEARTRAIN ANTI-BACKLASH LINKAGE
A geartrain assembly includes a first gear, a second gear, and a third gear. A linkage connects the first gear and the second gear, and defines an assembly location of the third gear to connect the third gear to the first and second gears in a manner that minimizes a backlash in the geartrain assembly.
TRANSMISSION ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING SAID TRANSMISSION ARRANGEMENT
A transmission arrangement for a vehicle includes an axial direction and a radial direction, a rotatable gear wheel having radially outer teeth for meshing engagement with a further gear member, and axially protruding engagement members, a first annular transmission member arranged next to the gear wheel and having corresponding axially protruding engagement members in torque transmission engagement with the engagement members of the gear wheel, and an annular groove provided in a radially facing surface, a second annular transmission member in torque transmission engagement with the first annular transmission member and having an annular groove provided in a radially facing surface and arranged radially overlapping with the annular groove of the first annular transmission member such that said annular grooves jointly define an annular space, and a locking member located within said annular space for axial locking of the first and second annular transmission members relative to each other.
Method for manufacturing variable speed accelerator and method for connecting shaft jig
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a variable speed accelerator including: a preparation step of preparing a variable speed electric motor 71 including a variable speed rotor 72 in which a shaft insertion hole 74 extending in a horizontal direction is formed, a first variable speed rotor bearing 85i and a second variable speed rotor bearing 85o that rotatably support the variable speed rotor 72 by aligning an axial direction of the variable speed rotor 72 in the horizontal direction, and a variable speed stator 86 that surrounds the variable speed rotor 72 from an outer circumferential side; and a shaft insertion step of inserting a constant speed shaft 77 into the shaft insertion hole 74 of the variable speed rotor 72 in the horizontal direction so as to penetrate the variable speed rotor 72 after the preparation step.
