Method for operating a drive train of a motor vehicle
A method of operating a drive train of a motor vehicle is provided, wherein the drive train has a drive motor and an automatic or automated transmission connected between the drive motor and the drive wheels. The transmission automatically changes gear in an automatic mode. The transmission changes to a higher or lower gear in a manual mode on the basis of an up-shift or a down-shift requested by the driver via control element. At least in automatic mode, a coasting mode of the drive train, in which the operative connection between drive motor and drive wheels is separated, is engaged under defined operating conditions and the coasting mode is disengaged upon the driver requesting a downshift and the manual mode of the transmission is engaged. The coasting mode is maintained in automatic mode in the case of the driver requesting an up-shift during coasting mode.
Bicycle gear changing control apparatus, electrically assisted system, and bicycle gear changing control method
A bicycle gear changing control apparatus includes a controller that is programmed to control a gear changing state of a bicycle transmission according to an operation of a gear changing operating device upon determining a bicycle traveling speed is greater than a first speed. The controller controls the transmission automatically to be in a first prescribed gear changing state upon determining the bicycle traveling speed becomes less than or equal to the first speed and upon determining a gear ratio of a current gear changing state of the transmission is larger than a preset gear ratio of the first prescribed gear changing state. The controller controls the transmission automatically, after controlling the transmission to be in the first prescribed gear changing state, to a larger gear ratio than the gear ratio of the first prescribed gear changing state, upon determining the bicycle traveling speed becomes greater than a second speed.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR GEAR SELECTION IN AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE AND A METHOD FOR GEAR SELECTION CONTROL IN AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a control system for gear selection of a transmission for an electrically driven vehicle, wherein said control system comprises a gear selection control device and a gear selection input device, the gear selection input device comprising a user input element for selectively holding a constant gear, and wherein said control system is adapted to hold a constant gear of the transmission while the user input element is activated. The disclosure also relates to a transmission arrangement, a powertrain, a vehicle and a method.
PORTABLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL DEVICE
A portable transmission control device for operating a vehicle transmission and bypassing any transmission control computer or vehicle computer. The device comprises a housing containing an analog electronic control circuit. A power cable provides 12 volt DC power to the control circuit and an output cable connects the electronic control circuit to solenoids of the transmission. The control circuit includes a bank of lever actuated microswitches for actuating the respective solenoids. A drum roller is aligned lengthwise with the microswitches and has a plurality of rotational positions that correspond to respective transmission gear settings (e.g., neutral, multiple forward gears, and reverse). Protrusions on the outer surface of the drum actuate respective microswitches depending on the rotational position of the drum. The operator selects rotational position, and thus transmission gear selection, with a rotary dial on the outside of the housing and connected to the drum roller.
