SHIFT CONTROL APPARATUS OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

A shift control apparatus of an automatic transmission includes: an input detecting unit configured to detect a real rotational speed of the input shaft; an output detecting unit configured to detect a real rotational speed of the output shaft; an estimating unit configured to estimate an estimated rotational speed of the input shaft, which corresponds to a shift request, by multiplying the real rotational speed of the output shaft by a target gear ratio; and a control unit configured to control the rotation of the input shaft based on a detection result from the input detecting unit. The control unit controls the rotation of the input shaft such that an upper-limiting rotational speed of a variation in real rotational speed of the input shaft is lower than the estimated rotational speed.

An oil supply device comprises a main pump driven by an engine and capable of supplying oil to an automatic transmission and to a hydraulic control valve, an electric motor, a subsidiary pump driven by the electric motor that raises the pressure of a portion of the oil discharged from the main pump and supplies the oil to the hydraulic control valve, and a motor controller which controls driving of the electric motor on the basis of the pressure of the oil supplied to the automatic transmission. The motor controller implements control to drive the subsidiary pump by the electric motor to raise the pressure of a portion of the oil discharged from the main pump to a prescribed pressure or above and supply the oil to the hydraulic control valve when the pressure of the oil supplied to the automatic transmission is less than the prescribed pressure.

Hydraulic pump failure detection for transmission with normally engaged clutch

A method of detecting a failure of a hydraulic pump includes sensing a rotational speed of the engine, and a rotational speed of a rotating drivetrain component. A numerical difference between the rotational speed of the engine and the rotational speed of the rotating drivetrain component is calculated. The numerical difference is compared to a threshold value to determine if the numerical difference is less than the threshold value, or is equal to or greater than the threshold value. A failure of the hydraulic pump is identified when the numerical difference between the rotational speed of the engine and the rotational speed of the rotating drivetrain component is equal to or greater than the threshold value, and the transmission is positioned in the neutral gear mode. When a failure of the hydraulic pump is identified, the operation of the engine is stopped.

SHIFT POSITION DETECTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND SHIFT CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

A detecting device includes a shift selector, a magnet disposed in the shift selector, four or more sensors arranged at positions facing the magnet and an ECU. The ECU is configured to (i) determine a shift position based on signals output from the four or more sensors when the magnet is relatively displaced with respect to the four or more sensors in response to an operation of the shift selector, (ii) determine the shift position based on signals output from three or more of the four or more sensors determined to be normal when any one of the four or more sensors is abnormal, and (iii) determine the abnormality based on whether or not the three or more sensors output, during the traveling of the vehicle, a signal to a shift position pertaining to a case of traveling in the direction opposite to a traveling direction of the vehicle.
