Fabric fire rated door

A fabric fire rated door is described. The door utilizes a fire resistant fabric curtain with an end lock attachment. A tubular steel shaft is driven by an internal tube motor. The shaft is supported to minimize deflection. Single door shafts can also be joined together with a coupler shaft to create infinitely wide doors. The coupler shaft is spring loaded to act as a take up reel for a coupling curtain which will overlap each adjacent single door shaft. All curtains are attached to the same bottom bar. A hood covers the shaft, curtain, and the supports that run across the width of the door. The curtain travels over these horizontal supports as it drops down through the hood opening. The horizontal supports keep the curtain in position for proper seal during a fire/smoke event.

The head box (2) houses a roller (3) for the curtain (4) to be rolled from for deployment and rolled back onto for withdrawal and attached at the bottom of the curtain (4) is a bottom bar (7) for weighing down the curtain (4) when deployed. The head box (2) has one or more apertures (14, 15) for cleaning air circulation and being provided at the, or each, aperture (14,15) with a spring (22) loaded trap (16,17) normally held open by a fusible link (31), the link fusing (31) in event of fire.

An air replenishing fume hood includes a cabinet, a door set, an air replenishing unit and air guiding unit. The cabinet has an inner casing defining an operating chamber and having an air inlet and an air outlet. A side of the cabinet includes an operation window. A first air passage is formed between the inner casing and the cabinet. The door set includes an outer door leaf adapted to open or close the operation window, and an inner door leaf adapted to open or close the air inlet. An end of the air replenishing unit extends into an external space via an outdoor tube, and another end of the air replenishing unit is connected to the first air passage via an extension tube. The air guiding unit includes an end connected to the air outlet, and another end extending into the external space or a collection tank.

A double-walled battery charging cabinet can include: an outer cabinet wall; an inner cabinet wall spaced apart from the outer cabinet wall to form an insulating air gap between the inner cabinet wall and the outer cabinet wall, the inner cabinet wall defining an interior volume; and an air convection port disposed through the outer cabinet wall and the inner cabinet wall. The double-walled battery charging cabinet can further include: a flame arrestor positioned inside or adjacent to the air convection port; a damper positioned adjacent to the air convection port, the damper being biased toward a closed position; a fusible link to hold the damper in an open position, the fusible link having a predetermined melting point at which the damper is released to slide horizontally from the open position to the closed position; and a power outlet disposed inside the interior volume.
