Flow output determination method for a hydraulic pump in a transmission hydraulic system
10190679 · 2019-01-29 · ·

A method for determining a conveying capacity of a hydraulic pump includes opening a blockable flow cross-section in order to connect a pressure side of the hydraulic pump to an area of the hydraulic system through the flow cross-section after operating the hydraulic pump driven at a defined rotational speed. The flow cross-section is configured with the hydraulic pump such that an entire conveying volume flow provided by the hydraulic pump is guided through the flow cross-section when the flow cross-section is open. The method further includes comparing a change to an operating state of the transmission resulting from opening of the flow cross-section to a reference change to the operating state and determining the conveying capacity of the hydraulic pump as a function of a deviation between the change to the operating state and the reference change to the operating state.

SHIFT RANGE CONTROLLER
20180283545 · 2018-10-04 ·

A shift range controller includes a target speed setter that sets a target motor speed for a motor based on an angle deviation between a current rotation position of the motor and a target rotation position based on a requested shift range. A requested duty calculator calculates a requested duty as a drive control amount for driving the motor based on the target motor speed. The target speed setter receives a feedback of the requested duty, and changes the target motor speed at a deceleration time based on the feedback of the requested duty. By changing the target motor speed based on the requested duty, the target motor speed is optimized for responding to impediment-causing factors such as temperature and friction. In such manner, the shift range switching responsiveness is improved.

A PWM control part rotationally drives a motor based on a PWM control value. A rotation speed control part controls a rotation speed of the motor. A rotation angle detection part detects a rotation angle of the motor. A reference position learning part controls the motor to rotate at a constant rotation speed until a detent plate stops at a limit position of a movable range and learns a reference position of the motor. A current detection circuit detects a current value corresponding to a driving current. A current limitation part limits a current supplied to the motor. A PWM control value limitation part controls the PMW control value to be equal to or smaller than a PWM limitation value, which is a predetermined value. A relation check part checks whether a relation between a current value detected by the current detection circuit and the PWM control value is inappropriate.

Systems and methods for initiating over-the-air programming of transmission control module

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for initiating over-the-air (OTA) programming (together, OTAP) of a transmission control module (TCM) of a vehicle. In an embodiment, a TCM determines that an OTAP update is available, and responsively presents an update-ready indication via an operator interface of the vehicle, and thereafter determines whether each precondition in a set of one or more preconditions is satisfied, including a precondition that a valid initiate-update instruction has been received via the operator interface. If the TCM determines that each precondition in the set is satisfied, the TCM then responsively initiates installation of the OTAP update. If, however, the TCM determines that at least one precondition in the set is not satisfied, the TCM then responsively does not initiate installation of the OTAP update.

Vehicle initialization

A control system for a vehicle includes one or more controllers, wherein the control system is configured to: receive a driver gear shift request; determine if the vehicle is in a vehicle initialisation period; determine if a driver of the vehicle is actuating at least one brake of the vehicle; store the driver gear shift request based at least in part on the determination that the vehicle is in the vehicle initialisation period and the driver is actuating at least one brake of the vehicle; determine if the vehicle initialisation period has ended; and control execution of the stored driver gear shift request when the vehicle initialisation period has ended.

Method and control unit for operating a drive train of a vehicle

A method for operating a drive train (1) of a vehicle includes, in order to check the plausibility of an adapted charge pressure value, changing an actuating pressure of a starting component (7) corresponding to an adapted charge pressure value by an offset and ascertaining a resultant change in a torque of an electric machine (3). When the change in the torque of the electric machine (3) and the offset of the actuating pressure correspond to each other within defined limits, a plausible adapted charge pressure value is inferred. When the change in the torque of the electric machine (3) and the offset of the actuating pressure do not correspond to each other within the defined limits, an implausible adapted charge pressure value is inferred.
