Vehicle control device and vehicle control method
A vehicle control device for a vehicle with a drive source and an automatic transmission including a friction engaging element for transmitting a driving force of the drive source to drive wheels by being engaged by a hydraulic pressure, wherein the vehicle control device is configured to perform an abnormality diagnosis of a solenoid valve for adjusting a hydraulic pressure to be supplied to the friction engaging element on the basis of a slip amount of the friction engaging element, and prohibit the abnormality diagnosis of the solenoid valve if a hydraulic pressure upstream of the solenoid valve is below a predetermined hydraulic pressure at which the friction engaging element is engaged, the hydraulic pressure upstream of the solenoid being a source hydraulic pressure to be adjusted by the solenoid valve.
VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle control apparatus for controlling a control-subject component provided in a vehicle, by using a learning value of a control parameter which is obtained by a learning operation. The control apparatus includes an obtaining portion for obtaining information related to converged values of learning values of control parameters in a plurality of vehicles provided with respective control-subject components which are the same in type as the control-subject component provided in the vehicle, and a variation determination portion for determining whether a degree of variation among the converged values in the respective vehicles is smaller than a threshold value. The vehicle control apparatus causes the learning value to be converged by a smaller number of times of execution of the learning operation when the degree of the variation is smaller than the threshold value, than when the degree of the variation is not smaller than the threshold value.

Torque converters and methods and devices for rebuilding torque converters
Methods of repairing a torque converter that enable the continued use of a torque converter and result in a repaired torque converter with a higher-strength and more durable construction. In some examples, a backing ring can be replaced with a replacement backing ring that includes a spline ring for replacing the function of a cover spline ring. In some examples, a method of repairing a torque converter can be improved by providing a replacement backing ring with a radial protrusion for locating the backing ring on the cover, and a method of determining an axial location of the radial protrusion.
Control device of vehicle
A control device of a vehicle disposed on a vehicle including an engine and a fluid transmission device including a lockup clutch, the control device of a vehicle comprises: an automated-driving running control portion automatically controlling at least an engine torque so that the vehicle runs in a predefined target running state without requiring an acceleration/deceleration operation; and a lockup control portion engaging/releasing the lockup clutch in accordance with a predefined lockup condition. The automated-driving running control portion includes a fuel efficiency priority running portion setting the target running state such that the lockup clutch is brought into an engaged state in accordance with the lockup condition.
Dual clutch control system for integral torque converter and retarder and method thereof
A transmission system includes a fluid-coupling device, an electro-hydraulic control system, and a clutch. The fluid-coupling device includes an input coupled to an impeller, an output coupled to a turbine, and a stator disposed between the impeller and the turbine. The electro-hydraulic control system includes a flow valve disposed in fluid communication with the input and the output of the fluid-coupling device that is movable between at least a first position and a second position, at least one trim valve system fluidly coupled to the flow valve, and a solenoid disposed in fluid communication with the flow valve that is electrically controllable between an energized state and a de-energized state. The clutch is disposable in fluid communication with the flow valve and controllable between an applied position and an unapplied position.
METHOD AND CONTROL UNIT FOR OPERATING A DRIVETRAIN OF A MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING A POWER TAKE-OFF
A method for operating a drive-train of a motor vehicle. The drive-train having a transmission connected between a drive aggregate and a drive output. A hydrodynamic starting element is connected between the drive aggregate and transmission. The starting element includes a converter and converter lock-up clutch. A Power Take-Off (PTO) can be coupled to the drive aggregate on the drive aggregate side to take up drive torque delivered by the drive aggregate. In order to determine the torque taken up by the PTO, the lock-up clutch is operated in a rotational-speed-regulated manner at least when the PTO is coupled to the drive aggregate in order to set a defined target slip at the lock-up clutch. As a function of the actuation pressure of the lock-up clutch required for setting the target slip when the PTO is coupled, the torque taken up by the PTO is determined.
Torque converter assembly and method of operating the same
A torque converter assembly configured to be connected between an engine and a transmission in a vehicle. The torque converter assembly comprises a cover plate, a pump, a turbine, a stator, and a clutch assembly operably connected between the cover plate and the turbine. The clutch assembly comprises a coverside plate, a turbine-side plate, and a piston located at least partially between the coverside plate and the turbine-side plate. A charge circuit is configured at least partially between the cover plate and the coverside plate, a compensation circuit is configured at least partially between the coverside plate and the piston, and an apply circuit is configured at least partially between the piston and the turbine-side plate.
