METHOD TO CONTROL THE EXECUTION OF A SHIFT TO A LOWER GEAR WHILE AN ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS RELEASED IN A DRIVETRAIN PROVIDED WITH A DUAL-CLUTCH, SERVO-ASSISTED TRANSMISSION
A method to control the execution of a shift to a lower gear while an accelerator pedal is released in a drivetrain provided with a dual-clutch, servo-assisted transmission; the control method comprises the following steps: opening, in a first instant, an outgoing clutch; closing, in the first instant, an incoming clutch; completing the opening of the outgoing clutch and the closing of the incoming clutch in a second instant; synchronizing, between the second instant and a third instant, a rotation speed of the internal combustion engine with a rotation speed of the incoming clutch; and controlling the incoming clutch between the second instant and the third instant so as to have the incoming clutch temporarily transmit a greater torque than the torque that the clutch is going to transmit immediately after the shift to a lower gear and than the torque that the outgoing clutch transmitted immediately before the shift to a lower gear.

The electro-hydraulic control system includes a flow valve disposed in fluid communication with the input and the output of the fluid-coupling device that is movable between at least a first position and a second position, at least one trim valve system fluidly coupled to the flow valve, and a solenoid disposed in fluid communication with the flow valve that is electrically controllable between an energized state and a de-energized state. The clutch is disposable in fluid communication with the flow valve and controllable between an applied position and an unapplied position.
System and method for operating a vehicle in a low transmission range
Systems and methods for operating a driveline that includes a step ratio transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that may be operated in a step ratio mode are disclosed. In one example, engagement speeds for transmission gears are adjusted as a function of vehicle mass, road grade, and requested braking torque.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle control device comprising: a balance gradient calculation unit configured to calculate a balance gradient that is a gradient at which a propulsive force of the vehicle and a resistance force applied to the vehicle are balanced when the vehicle travels in a gear-in coasting state in which an engine is connected to a gear and the vehicle travels without supplying fuel to the engine, in a case where a traveling state of the vehicle is a neutral coasting state; and a traveling control unit configured to: switch, based on the calculated balance gradient and a specified road gradient, the traveling state of the vehicle from the neutral coasting state to the gear-in coasting state in a case where the traveling state of the vehicle is the neutral coasting state; and end, the gear-in coasting state when determining that an end condition is satisfied.

Compression Brake Control Shifter
A compression brake control shifter for convenient and safe compression brake control from the shifter includes a shifter body. The shifter body is configured to connect to a shift lever of a truck to manipulate a gear system of the truck. The truck has a gear splitter and a compression brake. A wiring harness is coupled to the shifter body and extends through the bottom side to be in operational communication with a CPU of the truck. A compression button, a hi/low gears switch, and a gear splitter switch are coupled to the shifter body and are in operational communication with the wiring harness to activate and alternatively deactivate the compression brake of the truck, to switch to and from a hi gear mode and a low gear mode of the gear system, and to activate and alternatively deactivate the gear splitter of the truck, respectively.
WORKING VEHICLE
A working vehicle includes a traveling clutch to be switched between an engaging state and a disengaging state, a brake to brake the traveling device according to an operation of a brake operator, and a controller to perform a braking control to perform the braking, and an auto-switching controller to switch the traveling clutch from the engaging state to the disengaging state. The controller performs a first processing to switch the traveling clutch from the engaging state to the disengaging state when the brake operator is operated in a case where the auto-switching control is valid and a vehicle speed is less than a threshold, and a second processing to prevent the traveling clutch from being switched from the engaging state to the disengaging state even when the brake operator is operated in a case where the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than the threshold.
