Shift control apparatus and shift control method of automatic transmission
A shift control apparatus of an automatic transmission may include a data detector configured to detect driving data to perform a shift control, and a vehicle controller configured to determine a shift gear stage based on the driving data and control a transmission based on the shift gear stage, in which the vehicle controller sets driver's demand acceleration based on the driving data, sets a gear stage range which arrives at the driver's demand acceleration, and sets a target gear stage, at which fuel consumption is minimized, in the gear stage range to instruct a shift.

SHIFT-BY-WIRE SELECTOR CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE TRANSMISSION AND METHOD THEREFOR
A method for operating a multi-stable shift-by wire selector control system of a motor vehicle transmission. The multi-stable shift-by wire selector control system includes a multi-stable selector which is operable by the driver of the vehicle to select a respective one of the operating modes of the transmission, an arrangement of illuminated labels indicating the selector mode and an indexing mechanism for maintaining the immobilization of the selector in its different positions.
Transmissions with torque and/or speed sensor arrangements
A transmission includes sensors positioned adjacent respective pairs of magnetized bands on a shaft of the transmission for detecting magnetic flux emanating from the bands in response to torque on the shaft. The transmission further includes an electronics interface assembly configured to respectively provide drive signals to the sensors and to receive from the sensors, in response to the drive signals, output signals indicative of the torque on the shaft as detected by the sensors.

SHIFT-BY-WIRE TRANSMISSION
A shift-by-wire transmission system is provided. The system includes a gearbox that is configured and arranged to receive a rotational input and provide a select rotational output. The gearbox includes a plurality of gear assemblies that are operationally coupled together to provide the select rotational output from the rotational input. A shift assembly is operationally coupled to the plurality of gear assemblies of the gearbox to selectively change gearing of gearbox. An electric motor is operationally coupled to the shift assembly to activate the shift assembly to selectively change the gearing of the gearbox. A manual shift override is employed that is coupled between the shift assembly and the electric motor. The manual shift override is configured and arranged to manually disconnect the electric motor from the shift assembly and activate the shift assembly.
