Power split transmission and method for operating such power split transmission

A power-split transmission which is designed to be operated with either first or second deceleration logics. The second deceleration logic has a higher deceleration dynamic than the first deceleration logic, and is designed to disengage an engaged range clutch immediately so as to reduce the transmission ratio by way of a hydrostatic unit with a maximum dynamic. A method of operating the transmission includes: monitoring various vehicle parameters while the vehicle is operated with the first deceleration logic; detecting that at least one set limit value has been exceeded while the vehicle operated with the first deceleration logic; activating the second deceleration logic, to immediately disengage an engaged range clutch; reducing a transmission ratio to a maximum using the hydrostatic unit, the hydrostatic unit being displaced with a maximum dynamic; and engaging the range clutch and activating the first deceleration logic.

Control apparatus and control method for automatic transmission

A control apparatus for a stepped automatic transmission in which one of a plurality of shift speeds is established by selectively engaging a plurality of frictional engagement elements, the stepped automatic transmission mounted on a vehicle, the control apparatus includes: an electronic control unit configured to perform a control of prohibiting a plurality of shift that is transitioning from an upshift speed change to a downshift speed change, for a predetermined period, when a downshift speed change requirement is requested by an occurrence of an accelerator depression operation during an inertia phase of the upshift speed change in a driven state of a vehicle.

Disclosed is a method of controlling a shifting time and a transmission controlled by the method. A method of controlling a shifting time of an automatic transmission mounted on a vehicle to control the driving of the transmission by incorporating the state of an engine includes an entry condition determination step of determining whether the engine of the vehicle being driven is a full throttle driving state and a shifting point correction logic entry condition is satisfied, an engine speed calculation step of calculating an expected maximum engine speed during gear shifting, and a shifting time delay step of delaying a shifting time during a specific time if an expected maximum engine speed value calculated in the engine speed calculation step is less than a preset value. Accordingly, a shifting pattern into which maximum acceleration performance set through maximum performance of an engine has been incorporated can be implemented.

There is provided a transmission control device that controls a first prime mover and a second prime mover of which output responsiveness is different from each other. A processing circuitry of the transmission control device executes a process including: in response to a shift command, calculating each target rotational speed of the first prime mover and the second prime mover for a synchronous control that brings one of rotational speeds of a dog and a transmission gear at the second transmission gear position close to the other; and determining a first timing or a second timing such that the second timing is later than the first timing, the first timing being a time at which the synchronous control of the first prime mover is started, and the second timing being a time at which the synchronous control of the second prime mover is started.

Transmission device and method for operating the same

A power-split transmission device for a vehicle, which connects a drive engine to a drive output, having a hydrostatic unit for continuous adjustment of the transmission ratio at a transmission unit, and two range clutches that alternately operate for respectively associated driving ranges with different transmission ratios. A control unit, during regular vehicle deceleration, implements the driving range change from a first range, with higher transmission ratios, to a second range, with lower transmission ratios, by switching from the first to the second range clutch in accordance with a synchronous point dependent deceleration control logic. In the special case of an unexpected increase of the deceleration dynamic at the beginning of an already initiated driving range change from the first to the second driving range, the control unit immediately forces the change by bypassing the synchronous point dependent deceleration control logic when other boundary conditions are fulfilled.
