ENGINEERED WOOD VENTED SOFFIT WITH INTEGRATED FIRE-EMBER AND SNOW SCREEN
20250354385 · 2025-11-20 ·

A pre-vented soffit panel with an integrated screen to exclude wind-blown embers from entering the attic space. Vent holes are created in the soffit, and a screen is integrated therewith, in the factory or on a production line. The screen material is fire-resistant. The pre-vented soffit panel with integrated screen can then be packaged and shipped to a job or construction site, and installed instead of, or in place of, a prior-art soffit panel. The integrated soffit screen also prevents the intrusion of wind-blown snow and several types of insects. This integrated solution provides for more rapid and cost-effective job site installation without the need to perform costly retrofitting of metal vents into prior-art soffit panels.

Fire protection sprinkler assembly

At least one aspect is directed to a fire protection sprinkler system to provide fire protection for an outdoor area. The fire protection system can include a dry pendent sprinkler assembly. The dry pendent sprinkler assembly can include a body portion, a sprinkler head portion, or a deflector portion. The body portion can secure the dry pendent sprinkler assembly with a feed line. The feed line can be disposed on an opposite side of an exterior wall relative to the sprinkler head portion. The feed line can include a fire protection fluid. The body portion can protrude from the exterior wall at an angle of at least 55 degrees relative to a lateral exterior projection that protrudes into the outdoor area from the exterior wall. The dry pendent sprinkler assembly can expel the fire protection fluid to cover the outdoor area.

System for proactively forming and maintaining environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones over the property surfaces of a neighborhood of homes
12502568 · 2025-12-23 · ·

A system for forming and maintaining GPS tracked and mapped environmentally-clean chemical-based fire protection zones formed over property and ground surfaces in and about a neighborhood of homes, that proactively inhibit fire ignition and flame spread when exposed to wild fire. The system includes a GPS-tracking anti-fire (AF) liquid spraying system wirelessly connected to a wireless communication network supporting a network database. The GPS-tracked anti-fire liquid spraying system is used to spray particular GPS-specified ground surfaces in and about the neighborhood, with an environmentally-clean anti-fire chemical liquid so to form environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones over the GPS-specified property surfaces, while generating GPS-coordinate and time/date stamped data records pertaining to the application of the environmentally-clean anti-fire chemical liquid spray during the formation of the environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones. The GPS-coordinate and time/date stamped data records are transmitted over the wireless communication network for storage in the network database. A mobile computing system is used to access the GPS-coordinate and time/date stamped data records from the network database, relating to the formation of the GPS-specified environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones, so as to verify that the GPS-specified environmentally-clean chemical fire protection zones were formed at the GPS-specified property surfaces on the particular date, to proactively inhibit fire ignition and flame spread when exposed to wild fire.

Fire Water Cannon, System, and Method for Fire Suppression
20260027394 · 2026-01-29 ·

A smart multi-axis lawn pop-up precision fire water cannon system and associated fire suppression method are disclosed. A processor controls the mode of operation of the fire suppression system and directs multi-axis pop-up precision fire water cannons in relation to a known structural layout of a property based on a 3D model of the property being protected. Notably, the multi-axis lawn pop-up precision fire water cannons are closed when not in use and are located outside the building to be protected, e.g., buried in the ground. The fire suppression system is capable of controlling water cannons automatically or under control of a remote user app. Onsite cameras are used alone or with ember traps or other fire sensors. Based on video and/or 3D information water cannon are able to direct water accurately and efficiently to put out flames as they arise and/or to prewet an area to reduce fire risk.

External Fire Protection and Suppression System

Described herein is an external fire protection system utilizing both fire hoses and fixed atomized water sprinklers. Water is supplied by either a local utility or static source pressurized by reciprocating or auxiliary electric engine employing high pressure/high volume pumps that are independent of any power grid outages. Both manual and local heat sensor detection are incorporated for automatic activation. The system also includes remote activation via any WiFi internet source (e.g., satellite) via a phone app to any programmable logic controller for continuous or water-saving intermittent operation.

Method of and system for defending home building projects from wildfire during and after construction on property located within a wildfire urban interface (WUI) region

A wildfire defense system trailer and method of installing an automated sprinkler-based wildfire defense system on a home construction site before the starting of the construction phase of a home building project in a wildfire urban interface (WUI) region. The first commissioned automated sprinkler-based wildfire defense system will continue in operation all during the home building construction phase, and will only be decommissioned from operation, and removed from the premises (including the job-site wildfire defense system trailer being removed from the property) when construction of the wood home building project is totally completed, and the wood home building is ready for occupation. At the same time when the first system is decommissioned, a second permanently-installed automated sprinkler-based wildfire defense system will be completely installed within the new home construction, independent from the first system, and ready for commissioning to provide a new proactive measure of defense against a wildfire storm occurring after home building construction has been completed, thereby protecting all wood and combustible surfaces on the home and surrounding property, and preventing fire ignition and flame spread until the wildfire storm passes through the WUI region. By virtue of the present invention, it is now possible to significantly reduce the risk of wood home building construction projects occurring within a wildfire urban interface (WUI) region, and better support the underwriting of home construction and ownership insurance policies within such regions.
