Multi TFI with fluid sprinklers
10537759 · 2020-01-21 · ·

A fire extinguisher apparatus that consists on a loading lever network that gets built in the transport equipment allowing manipulation of the device that is directly introduced to the fire to compress it and by this, stopping the combustion process. Simultaneously, the said extinguishing apparatus will inject a series of substances over the flames, drastically reducing temperature of the fire zone, avoiding reignition when the device collapses on the different interventions these have. The Main Lever of such network is originally built in to the transport equipment and one end will branch different tips which will form a net of smaller lever which will hang the TFI device. A tension cable will go across the upper part of the Main lever to bring more resistance and provide much more strength by preventing arcing of the lever when handling very heavy loads. A pipeline network that extends and is supported over and through the lever network, transports the cooling substances from the fluid deposits until the injecting sprinklers are arranged in the upper part of the attack devices.

FIRE-RETARDING ARTILLERY SHELL

An artillery shell is fired out of a gun towards a fire. A trigger releases a fire-retarding material from the artillery shell to retard the fire.

Aerial Firefighting Dump Gate System
20200010196 · 2020-01-09 ·

A gatebox system for delivering fire retardant fluid from a firefighting aircraft. A first and second gate opening are formed through a lower portion of a gatebox. The gates are hingedly connected along edges of the openings. A drive shaft in the gatebox is rotatable in gates-closing and gates-opening directions. Crank arms are fixed to the drive shaft and coupled to the gates by connecting links, which define an over-center geometry while the gates are at a closed position, such that weight of the fluid on the first gate induces torque on the drive shaft in the gates-closing direction. Rotation of the drive shaft in the gates-opening direction enables control of the fluid flow from the hopper according to an angular position of the drive shaft.

Drones that protect the environment by preventing wildfires

Wildfires release enormous quantities of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in addition to devastating animal habitats, destroying homes, and causing fatalities. Drones equipped with artificial intelligence to navigate through wooded locations, fire-detection hardware, and firefighting hardware can protect the environment by preventing wildfires. Methods can use a drone system that includes one or more drones to prevent wildfires. Each drone can include an infrared camera configured to detect fires. Each drone can fly in view of areas that might have a fire. After detecting a fire, the drone system can put out the fire if the fire is small. The drone system can also notify systems and people who can put out the fire.

Wildfires can quickly grow to enormous scales with devastating environmental impacts. Drone systems that provide early detection of wildfire risks can prevent wildfires before they grow out of control. Methods can use drones equipped with artificial intelligence to navigate through wooded locations and detect fire risks. Drones can include fire-detection hardware and fire-fighting hardware.

DEVICE FOR JETTISONING FLUID IN A DETERMINED DIRECTION FOR A FIREFIGHTING HOST AIRCRAFT AND AIRCRAFT EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A DEVICE

A fluid storing and jettisoning systems with which host aircraft for fighting fires are to be equipped and which makes it possible to limit the dispersion of water in the air. The aircraft fluid storing and jettisoning system comprises a fluid reservoir and at least one tube comprising a closed tank having at least one opening intended to be connected in leak-tight fashion respectively to said one or more tubes for the entry of fluid and at least one opening oriented so as to make it possible to jettison the fluid in a determined direction that is different from the longitudinal direction of flow of the fluid in the one or more tubes. Also an aircraft equipped with such a system.

MODULAR SYSTEM FOR STORING AND JETTISONING FLUID AND AIRCRAFT PROVIDED WITH SUCH A SYSTEM

A modular water storing and jettisoning system which can be easily introduced into and removed from a host firefighting aircraft. To that end, the water storing and jettisoning system for a host aircraft comprises a fluid tank and at least one tube. The tank is connected to said tube or to all of said tubes which extend(s) longitudinally from the tank such that, once installed in a host aircraft, the one or more tubes conduct the fluid to the longitudinal end of a rear door of the aircraft in an open position. Also an aircraft fitted with such a system.

A first drone equipped with a high energy Directional Ultrasound Parametric Speaker Array and a second drone equipped with an Acoustic Dispersion Cannon are used to fight wildfire. The first drone is distanced far from a burning flame but in close proximity to a fire target. Both drones are guided by GPS to communicate with remote operators. Once the target is locked, the first drone blasts the target with Amplitude Modulated Ultrasound. The Ultrasound is self-demodulated into a lower frequency audio sound when it encounters a hot flame of richly charged ions. The lowered frequency sound pushes and pulls the flame forward and backward rapidly away from the combustion source, causing it to be disconnected from the flame which instantly cools down and is extinguished. The second drone blasts the combustible source with powerful sonic shockwaves to disperse the still hot particulates further apart to prevent the source being reignited.

FIRE RESISTANT AERIAL VEHICLE FOR SUPPRESSING WIDESPREAD FIRES
20190337620 · 2019-11-07 ·

A concentric, double hull, damage tolerant airframe vehicle double clad with a lightweight, impact resistant ceramic matrix composite for heat shielding and flame resistance, and fitted with insulation, to provide thermal protection from 35 C. to 1,650 C. of the internal fuselage areas for an extended period of time within an extreme heat environment, that will serve as a semi or fully autonomous vehicle, manned or unmanned, preferably an unmanned aerial vehicle designed as the delivery means to suppress or extinguish flames by repeatedly discharging pressure waves against flames without having to exit the fire environment.

LONG-TERM FIRE RETARDANT WITH CORROSION INHIBITORS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING SAME

A forest fire retardant composition contains water and a retardant compound that includes a halide salt, a non-halide salt, a metal oxide, a metal hydroxide, or combinations thereof. The halide salt may be magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, or both. The magnesium chloride hydrate has a formula MgCl.sub.2(H.sub.2O).sub.x, wherein x is at least one of x=1, 2, 4, 6, 8, or 12. The calcium chloride hydrate has a formula CaCl.sub.2)(H.sub.2O).sub.x, wherein x is at least one of 1, 2, 4, or 6. The composition may be in the form of a liquid concentrate or a final diluted product. The final diluted product is effective in suppressing, retarding, and controlling forest fires while exhibiting corrosion resistance and low toxicity.
