PISTON FOR A PISTON PUMP, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PISTON, AND PISTON PUMP

The present disclosure relates to a piston for a piston pump, in particular a piston compressor, including a piston main body and a piston crown valve that includes a lamellar valve plate. The lamellar valve plate is fastened to the piston main body by a collar ring.

Piston-integrated gap cover
10465795 · 2019-11-05 · ·

The present disclosure provides a sealing ring assembly with one or more piston-integrated gap cover features, configured to seal a high-pressure region from a relatively lower pressure region of a piston and cylinder device. The sealing ring assembly may include two rings which each may include one or more ring segments. The one or more gap-cover features, which may be in the form of protrusions in the piston ring groove, may engage with corresponding flat sections of the ring segments. As the sealing ring wears, the gap-cover features may stay engaged with the ring segments, thereby maintaining a seal.

Engine with compression and momentum stroke

A linear reciprocating engine may include a cylinder having a first combustion chamber at one end and a second combustion chamber at an opposing end, first and second cylinder heads located at an end of the first and second combustion chambers, respectively, and a double-faced piston slidably mounted within the cylinder. The engine may further include a first piston rod portion extending from a first face of the double-faced piston through the first combustion chamber, and a second piston rod portion extending from a second face of the piston through the second combustion chamber. Passageways in the piston rod portions may be configured to communicate gases between the combustion chamber and a location outside the cylinder and configured to prevent gases from being exchanged between the cylinder and a location outside the cylinder via a path that crosses both face of the piston.

A HYDRAULIC DEVICE
20190226464 · 2019-07-25 ·

A hydraulic device includes a shaft mounted in a housing rotatable about a first axis of rotation. The shaft has a flange extending perpendicularly to the first axis. A plurality of pistons is fixed to the flange. A plurality of cylindrical sleeves cooperates with the pistons to form respective compression chambers of variable volume. The cylindrical sleeves are rotatable about a second axis of rotation which intersects the first axis of rotation by an acute angle such that upon rotating the shaft the volumes of the compression chambers change. Each piston has a piston head including a circumferential wall of which the outer side is ball-shaped and the inner side surrounds a cavity. Each of the pistons is fixed to the flange by a piston pin having a piston pin head including a circumferential outer side facing the inner side of the circumferential wall of the piston head.

Light composite piston

A system, in certain embodiments, includes a composite piston. The composite piston comprises a piston body made of a composite material, wherein the composite material comprises a reinforcing material distributed in a matrix material.

Piston for an internal combustion engine

A piston for an internal combustion engine may include a piston head and a piston skirt. The piston skirt may include a plurality of box walls and a plurality of skirt walls. The plurality of box walls may be arranged opposite one another and may include a plurality of boss bores. The plurality of skirt walls may be arranged opposite one another and may have running surfaces. The piston may also include a cover element that may include a substantially circular cover plate and an aperture. The aperture may be disposed on the cover plate and may be configured for the passage of a connecting rod. The cover element may be secured to a lower region of the piston skirt. The cover plate may close a piston cross-sectional area.
