SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND ASSEMBLIES FOR IMPROVEMENT OF EXPLOSION AND FIRE RESISTANT PROPERTIES IN FLUID CONTAINERS
The present invention includes systems, assemblies, and methodologies for inhibiting combustion within fluid containers, enhancing the safety of such containers. One aspect includes novel methods for assembling base modules by rolling sheets of expanded mesh into generally cylindrical shapes. Tension within the sheet of expanded mesh may be modulated during the rolling process in order to vary the density of the base module as desired. In further embodiments, the method includes arranging a plurality of base modules along a cylindrical axis to form an assembly. Assemblies may be utilized to fill containers that store fuel and other combustible fluids.
Fire-fighting fluid storage apparatus of battery pack
The present application is provided with a fluid storage apparatus of a battery pack, including: a box, where the box has an inner cavity; a partition member, where the partition member is located in the inner cavity of the box, and the partition member divides the box into a fluid storage portion and a gas storage portion. The fluid storage portion is used to store spraying liquid and the fluid storage portion has a fluid outlet; the gas storage portion is used to store gas and the gas storage portion has a fluid inlet. And the partition member is configured to move toward the fluid outlet under the action of compressed gas in the gas storage portion.
RETRACTABLE SPOUT CLOSURE SYSTEM WITH FLAME MITIGATION
Flame mitigation system for retractable/extendible spout formed in a closure is described. The system meets applicable regulatory requirements and includes a flame mitigating mesh element in a rigid spout section immediately above a flexible section that extends and retracts. A tamper evident panel is disposed above the mesh, while a removable cap can be affixed to the rigid spout. An optional, snap-fitting cylindrical guard may also be used. In each instance, the precise positioning of selected elements and inner diameter and axial travel distance of selected elements can be determinative of the system's ability to pass the regulatory requirements.
Foam producing method, fire extinguishing method, and appliance for foam extinguishing
A foam production method includes mixing liquid nitrogen with a foaming material to produce foam. A gas is produced in situ from liquid nitrogen. As the ratio of the volume of the gas produced by gasification of liquid nitrogen to the volume of the liquid nitrogen is relatively high, when a large gas supply flow is needed to generate a large foam flow, a liquid nitrogen storage device of a small volume can be used instead of bulky air supply devices such as high-pressure gas cylinders, air compressors, air compressor sets and the like, reducing the volume of the air supply device. In addition, the liquid nitrogen used in foaming will release nitrogen gas after the foam blast, such that the nitrogen is also able to inhibit combustion on the surface of burning materials, accelerating the extinguishing of the fire.
Fuel storage device
To suppress the influence of gas on other fuel tanks when the gas is discharged from a fuel tank. A fuel storage device includes: a plurality of fuel tanks, each having a fusible plug valve; a support member that supports the plurality of fuel tanks, while making longitudinal directions of the respective fuel tanks parallel to each other; and a blocking member that blocks at least part of the fuel gas discharged from the fusible plug valves. The plurality of fuel tanks includes a tank group including the plurality of fuel tanks aligned along a first direction and a juxtaposed tank thereto. The blocking member is disposed between the tank group and the juxtaposed tank. The orientations of openings of the fusible plug valves included in blocked tanks are directed toward the blocking member, the blocked tanks being two or more fuel tanks that are continuous in the first direction, among the fuel tanks included in the tank group.
PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM
A blanket providing a plurality of pockets in which to contain fire suppression compound. A blanket can be wrapped around a container of flammable liquid to resist fire resulting from a ballistic attack. Fire suppression compound carried in a pocket may be provided as a plurality of sub-portions individually disposed in a respective pouch. End caps may also be included to further surround a container with fire suppression compound.
PORTABLE WELDING CARRIAGE WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHER RETAINING MEANS
A portable welding carriage with a retaining compartment for receiving a fire extinguisher, the fire extinguisher positioned forwardly of acetylene and oxygen cylinders to protect the same and provide accessibility in exigent circumstances.
Pallet container with overlapping wall composite parts
A pallet container for storing and transporting in particular flammable or easily ignitable liquid filling materials includes a thin-walled rigid internal container made from a thermoplastic plastics material, a tubular lattice frame that as a supporting jacket tightly encloses the plastics-material internal container, and a base pallet on which the plastics-material container bears and to which the tubular lattice frame is fixedly connected. The plastics-material internal container on all sides is enclosed by a fire-protection insulation mat which, while dispensing with a sheet-metal sheathing on all sides, is disposed directly between the tubular lattice frame and the plastics-material internal container. The fire-protection insulation mat is configured in a double-layered manner, and has an internal layer made from a heat-resistant non-woven and an external heat-resistant woven-fabric textile layer.
Systems, methods, and assemblies for improvement of explosion and fire resistant properties in fluid containers
The present invention includes systems, assemblies, and methodologies for inhibiting combustion within fluid containers, enhancing the safety of such containers. One aspect includes a novel base module from which assemblies of varying shape and size, suitable for disposing within a variety of different fluid containers, are created. In one embodiment, the base module is made from an expanded mesh which is rolled in a novel cylindrical configuration according to a novel methodology. In another embodiment, the base module may be combined with other base modules to form an assembly. The present invention is also directed to an apparatus and method for creating base modules which allows for varying density of the base modules and therefore varying flexural strength and rigidity of the assemblies. As such, the packing density of assemblies within containers may be optimized to produce the desired effect of inhibiting combustion within the container.
