GASKETS
A gasket, and more particularly, to a gasket including a sealing material with grooves in a surface thereof and a filler provided between the sealing material are proposed. With the gasket, it is possible to secure higher airtightness, stability and restorability than gaskets of the related art.
Seal and a tubular heat exchanger using such seal
A seal including a first portion having a first width that extends in a radial direction of the seal, a second portion that is joined with the first portion and having a second width that is smaller than the first width, and a first recess that is located in the first portion to reduce a width expansion of the first portion when the seal is compressed in an axial direction of the seal.
Pre-combustion chamber apparatus and method for pre-combustion
Embodiments of the present invention provide a pre-combustion chamber assembly, comprising (a) a body, having a cylindrical end portion having a step-wise increase in diameter forming a sealing surface for sealing to an engine; (b) a tip, with a hollow shaft in fluid communication with a combustion region of the tip, where the shaft has a first shaft diameter that allows the shaft to be slid over a portion of the body; (c) a gasket mounted about the body and resting against the sealing surface, wherein the gasket comprises a wire wound washer.
VACUUM CHAMBER SEAL
A seal for a vacuum chamber is formed from two outer insulation blocks, an intermediate insulation block, some interior insulation sheets and some exterior insulation sheets. A first outer insulation block seals between a first wall of the vacuum chamber and a first power transmission plate. A second outer insulation block seals between a second wall of the vacuum chamber and a second power transmission plate. The intermediate insulation block seals between the first and second power transmission plates. The interior insulation sheets are arranged in slots in a first side of the intermediate insulation block. The exterior insulation sheets are arranged in the slots in a second side of the intermediate insulation block.
SEALING STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A sufficient sealing property of a through hole is ensured. A sealing structure includes a cylindrically-shaped body part inserted into the through hole, formed of a thin plate of a first thickness, one end of the body part being open and another end of the body part being closed, a tapered part connected to the opened one end of the body part and including a diameter gradually expanding outward as a distance from the body part increases, and a first bent part connected to the tapered part, formed of a thin plate thinner than the first thickness, and bent inward so that a protruding part protruding outward elastically abuts against an inner peripheral surface of the through hole.
Hose coupling seal
There is proposed an annular seal for a pipe coupling, comprising, a lower portion beatable within an upwardly open annular groove in the pipe coupling, an upper portion having an upwardly facing abutment surface, a depending skirt and a stiffening ring. The depending skirt is configured for engagement over a circular upstand of the pipe coupling, which is located inwardly of the annular groove. The stiffening ring is located within the upper portion of the annular seal, and includes an annular portion that is generally parallel with and spaced apart from the abutment surface and at least one circumferential leg depending from the annular portion that provides reinforcement for the depending leg.
Gasket seal for spin-on filter housing
Briefly, the present invention relates, in one embodiment, to a gasket for sealing a filter housing to a filter mount. The gasket may have an upper body and a lower body which seals between the filter housing and filter head. The gasket may include chamfered surfaces to allow for properly sealing against manufacturing tolerances, and may include an annular groove which receives the filter housing and stabilizes the gasket during installation.
Magnetic fire seal for aircraft nacelle
A magnetic fire seal for a nacelle may comprise an exterior surface configured to form a sealing interface and an interior surface opposite the exterior surface. A fire-resistant material may be disposed between the exterior surface and the interior surface. A magnet may be located at the interior surface proximate the sealing interface. A portion of the fire-resistant material may be located between the magnet and the exterior surface.
Annular seal assembly with axial load decoupling feature
An annular seal system for sealing between a casing hanger and a wellhead housing, the system including an actuator ring having a rigid portion and a flexible portion, and a lockdown ring positioned adjacent the actuator ring. The annular seal system further includes a seal assembly capable of moving from a de-energized position to an energized position, wherein when the seal assembly is in the de-energized position there is defined a space between the seal assembly and the rigid portion of the actuator ring, and when the seal assembly is in the energized position the space is closed, the rigid portion of the actuator ring contacts a surface of the casing hanger, and the flexible portion of the actuator ring pushes the lockdown ring into engagement with the wellhead, the flexible portion of the actuator ring adapted to axially compress to allow positional variation between the lockdown ring and the wellhead housing.
Connection arrangement for a fluid transfer interface
A fluid transfer connector securely connects a port fitting of a fluid device to a fluid hose. The fluid transfer connector includes an attachment member attachable to the port fitting of the fluid storage device. The fluid transfer connector further includes a hose adapter including a housing with a seal that wipes and sealingly engages the port fitting when the hose adapter is engaged to the attachment member.
