Bypass valve assembly for turbine generators

A bypass valve assembly for a turbine generator includes a valve body, bypass seats, valve stem, valve cap, bypass valve disc, bypass valves, and pressure seal head. The valve body defines a central bore and a plurality of passageways. Each passageway has an inlet smaller than its outlet. Each bypass seat is within the inlet of a corresponding passageway. The bypass seats have a higher wear resistance than the valve body. The valve stem is within the central bore. The valve cap is secured to the valve body. The bypass valve disc is secured to the valve stem. Each bypass valve has a base portion and a nose portion. Each nose portion defines a contoured surface area with a wear coating and extends into a corresponding passageway. The pressure seal head is disposed around the valve stem and defines steps having a wear coating.

Method of operating a vehicle

A method of operating a vehicle includes navigating the vehicle along a path, collecting a set of navigation parameters of the vehicle from at least one of a sensor, a global positioning system, or an inertial reference system, determining a set of statistical uncertainties related to at least some navigation parameters in the set of navigation parameters, and associating a set of statistical weights to the at least some navigation parameters.

INLINE PNEUMATIC VALVE WITH INTERNAL BUSHING

An inline valve includes a sliding piston having a radially outer stop portion with a forward end. A radially inner sliding portion is connected to the radially outer stop portion by an arm. A housing includes an outer housing body surrounding the piston. The housing has a stop surface selectively in contact with the forward end of the radially outer stop portion of the piston to block flow for a housing inlet to a housing outlet. The radially inner sliding portion slides on a support tube. At least a portion of the radially inner sliding portion is formed of a first material having better wear resistance than a second material forming the outer stop portion of the piston. The second material has a greater resistance to high temperature and pressure than the first material. A vent valve for a compressor is also disclosed.

Device for controlling fluid flow

A device for controlling the flow of a fluid through a conduit from an upstream side of the device to a downstream side of the device is provided. The device includes an upstream valve casing defining an inlet, a downstream valve casing defining an outlet aperture, and a valve core secured between the upstream valve casing and the downstream valve casing. The upstream valve casing, the downstream valve casing and the valve core are formed as discrete parts. The valve core includes a housing defining a control volume. The valve member is mounted on the housing and positioned on the upstream side of the outlet aperture, the valve member being arranged to move reciprocally to selectively open and close the outlet aperture, thereby controlling flow of the fluid through the outlet aperture.

Purging system for multiple variety seed meter

A purging system for a multiple variety seed meter of a multi-variety planter. The purging system includes seed return valves that may be arranged for receiving seed that was removed from the seed meter. The seed return valves return the removed seed into corresponding appropriate seed storage compartments to allow a new seed variety to be delivered to the seed meter while reducing seed variety mixing in the seed meter. A pipe with a purge passage may extend from the seed meter to a purging hose that delivers the removed seed to the seed return valve(s). Each seed return valve may be a vacuum-actuated piston airlock valve assembly with a valve plunger that reciprocates to define seed collecting and releasing states of the valve.

Push-down-to-open high recovery choke valves

A valve trim assembly configured to be disposed in a fluid flow control valve, including, a valve seat adapted to be disposed in a fluid passageway of the fluid flow control valve. The valve seat includes an annular flange and a seating surface spaced from the annular flange. The valve trim assembly additionally includes a fluid control member movable relative to the valve seat to control fluid flow through the fluid passageway, wherein the fluid control member is movable from a closed position, in which the fluid control member sealingly engages the seating surface of the valve seat, and an open position, in which the fluid control member is spaced from the seating surface, by moving the fluid control member away from the annular flange of the valve seat.
