In order to allow objects that are as large as possible, in particular the valve disc, to be guided through the maintenance opening during inspection works, without increasing the weight of the housing body, the maintenance opening has a rectangular passage cross section. In contrast to known circular maintenance openings which are known in this pressure range, a rectangular passage cross section permits a smaller surface area for the passage cross section and therefore a lighter housing body.

A shut-off valve for use in a fluid transport or storage system includes a body defining an inlet port, an outlet port, and a fluid flow passageway extending between the inlet port and the outlet port, a seat arranged in the body adjacent the outlet port, a shaft at least partially disposed in the body, and a control assembly disposed in the body and operatively coupled to the shaft. The control assembly is movable between a closed position, in which a portion of the control assembly sealingly engages the seat to seal the outlet port, and an open position, in which the control assembly is spaced away from the outlet port and substantially outside of the fluid flow passageway, such that the control assembly provides minimal flow-restriction to fluid flowing through the fluid flow passageway.

The present application deals with a grid flap, comprising a multiplicity of vertical and horizontal grid struts, a frame which surrounds the grid struts, wherein a vertical and a horizontal grid strut respectively overlap in a crossing point, characterized in that the crossing points of the grid struts are made of one piece. As the grid is self-supporting because of its topology (made of one piece) and the overlapping of two grid struts can be avoided, double areas or cavities can be avoided, which contributes to a hygienic design of the grid flap.
