Flow control valves may be positioned downstream of water meters to increase pressure and compress entrained water vapour passing through the meters. However, turbulence within such valves can cause the valve's head to move radially, bending a shaft within the valve which may break. Accordingly, there is provided a flow control valve comprising: a housing having a flow passage; a valve seat defined within the flow passage; a valve head moveable to a closed position to engage the valve seat and seal the flow passage; a shaft secured to the valve head; a support slidingly mounting the shaft within the housing; a spring biasing the valve head to the closed position and configured to maintain the valve head in the closed position until a predetermined pressure is applied; and a guide assembly extending along at least a portion of the flow passage to constrain radial movement of the valve head.

Muffler for vehicle

A muffler for a vehicle includes: a muffler shell; a baffle disposed within the muffler shell, and having a first opening and a second opening which allow an exhaust gas to pass therethrough; and a variable valve mounted on the baffle. In particular, the variable valve includes: a valve plate rotatably mounted to open and close the first opening of the baffle; a valve arm connected to the valve plate; and a valve actuator to move the valve arm by variations in pressure of the exhaust gas. The valve plate is capable of rotating in a plane parallel to a plane of the baffle.

Fluid valve

A valve has flow trim assembly that can be quickly and efficiently removed and repaired or replaced. A body section having a central through bore defines an inlet, an outlet and inner chamber or space. An upstream cap and inlet hub are disposed at the inlet of the body member, while a downstream cap and outlet hub are disposed at the outlet of the body member. An actuator stem extends into the inner chamber, while a gear train can transfer torque force applied to the actuator stem to a rotator. A first (movable) trim member is attached to the rotator and can be selectively rotated relative to a second (fixed) trim member. The first and second trim members cooperate to adjust flow opening through the valve.

GATE VALVE

A gate valve is disposed between first and second chambers and allows a first opening leading to the first chamber and a second opening leading to the second chamber to be communicated and opens and closes. The gate valve includes a valve shaft, first and second valve plates that are attached to a leading end part of the valve shaft, an operation mechanism that moves these valve plates to an evacuation position at which the first opening and the second opening are communicated, a first closed position at which the first opening is closed by the first valve plate, and a second closed position at which the second opening is closed the second valve plate by operating the valve shaft, a fastening mechanism that attaches these valve plates to the valve shaft, and a support mechanism that fasten both end parts of these valve plates in a longitudinal direction.

Floating yoke connection

A clamp assembly to secure a yoke to a valve body of a knife gate valve is provided. The clamp assembly can include a bolt that is configured to extend through a first bushing, a first spring member, a first side wall of the yoke, the valve body, a second side wall of the yoke, a second spring member, and a second bushing. The clamp assembly can be configured to pin the yoke to the valve body, apply a pressure-containing preload to the valve body via the first and second bushings, and compress the first spring member between the first bushing and the first side wall of the yoke and the second spring member between the second bushing and the second side wall of the yoke.

A hydraulic fracturing tree wing is formed with a studded hydraulic valve next to a manual valve. The stud-to-flange connection allows for a shorter, lighter wing. The studded hydraulic valve maybe a gate valve that includes a T-slot coupling between an operating stem and the gate. A bonnet seal ridge may be formed to withstand undue deformation during operation that wears or destroys seals. A method for forming a hydraulic fracturing tree assembly includes using a flanged manual valve with a studded hydraulic valve. Other valves and methods are presented.

A gate valve system includes a body including an upstream end, a downstream end, and a flow path extending through the upstream end and the downstream end. The gate valve system includes a gate assembly extending within the body, the gate assembly including a gate a stem secured to the gate and configured to place the expandable gate in a first position in which a flow of fluid is permitted between the upstream end and the downstream end and a second position in which the flow of fluid is prevented. The gate valve system also includes a lubrication port in an exterior of the body, the lubrication port being in fluid communication with an interior of the body and including a lubrication guiding insert configured to guide a supply of lubricating fluid to a location inside the body and between the upstream end and the downstream end.

The present invention discloses a gate valve with a first side and a second side relative the throughbore. A circular body cavity is on the first side and a rectangular body cavity on the second side and a portion of the first side whereby the gate is operable to move up and down within the body cavities. Due to the rectangular body cavity, the seats are slimmer than the gate. A skirt assembly is used which is inserted over the gate to cover the gate opening when the gate is moved to the closed position to prevent debris and other contaminants from entering the body cavity. Four U-shaped seals are mounted to provide that the gate valve is a bidirectional gate valve with upstream sealing having back up downstream sealing in case an upstream seal fails.
