A ball for a ball valve, wherein the ball comprises a substrate of metal having surface modified portions to act as seating surfaces for a seat of the ball valve; and a seat ring for a ball valve, wherein the seat ring comprises a substrate of metal having a surface modified portion to act as a seating surface for a ball of the ball valve.

Deaeration valve

A deaeration valve includes a housing and a ball in fluid communication with housing. The ball can include a body, a seat defining a bleed passage therein, and a deaeration pin slidably disposed within the bleed passage. Further, the deaeration pin may include a head, a retention feature, and a shaft positioned between the head and the retention feature.

A ball valve system includes a body having an upstream end and a downstream end and a ball within the body between the upstream end and the downstream end, the ball being rotatable about a vertical axis to move between a closed position and an open position. The ball valve assembly includes a stem movable in an actuation direction substantially parallel to the vertical axis, the stem including a recess at a proximal portion of the stem, a guiding member extending within the recess of the stem, the guiding member being configured to prevent rotation of the stem or cause rotation of the stem, and a lubrication port in fluid communication with the recess.

Seal, in particular for a rotary ball valve fitting

A seal (1) is provided, in particular for a rotary ball valve fitting (2). The seal (1) has an annular body (4) that is resilient, flexible and provided with a radial lip (4′) and a rigid sealing ring (5) that are made in one piece. A valve, such as a rotary ball valve may include such a seal.

EXPANSION VALVE HAVING A SEALING RING HOLDER FOR SIMPLIFIED ASSEMBLY

The invention relates to a valve, in particular an expansion valve, for controlling a fluid flow, having a valve housing with an accommodation space and at least two fluid ducts connected to the accommodation space, having an opening which runs perpendicularly to the fluid ducts and opens into the accommodation space, wherein a sealing ring holder with a valve means is situated in the accommodation space, wherein the sealing ring holder with the valve means held therein can be inserted into the accommodation space through the opening, and wherein the valve means is positioned rotatably in the sealing ring holder by means of at least two sealing rings. The invention also relates to a sealing ring holder.

Valve trim

A valve trim includes a body having a plurality of parallel flow passages extending from a first end of the body to a second end of the body, opposite the first end. Each flow passage includes a throat and an expansion chamber and each throat is nested between the expansion chambers of directly adjacent flow passages.

STEM SEALS WITH TRIANGULAR RINGS

A pressure-tight stein cylinder seal and a self-energizing stein shoulder seal matching the stein cylinder seal that both use an equilaterally triangular soft ring as their sealing element, wherein their designing rules are first, by means of wedging function of a hard gland coaxial with the stein cylinder, to convert their original axial tightening force 2f respectively into a radial compression force 4f/√3 of their soft ring 04 on the stein 02 cylinder and another radial compression force 2f of their soft ring 06 on the stein 02 shoulder and ensure that the two soft rings are so compressed from a great room to a small room as to be able to pass a pressure or stress exactly to each different direction, then to cut off their off-stein corners to give their cavities an opening or give each soft ring an axial compressing allowance, and last, by means of anti-extrusion metallic C-rings without axial resistance, to close each opening to provide a full support for the sealing deformation of their soft rings compressed in their cavities.

BALL VALVE ASSEMBLY

A ball valve assembly includes a ball configured to rotate between an open position and a closed position. The ball valve assembly also includes a cradle having a ball-facing surface. The ball-facing surface faces the ball and is positioned at an end of a fluid passage through the cradle. In addition, the cradle is configured to rotatably support the ball to enable the ball to rotate between the open position and the closed position, and the cradle is configured to block movement of the ball toward the ball-facing surface to establish a separation distance between the ball and the ball-facing surface.

SEAL RING STRUCTURE FOR LOW TORQUE VALVE FIRE-SAFE

The present invention provides a seal ring structure, which comprises a seal ring member. The seal ring member includes a first ring opening on one side and a second ring opening on the other. A periphery of the first ring opening includes a plurality of leak grooves. When the seal ring member and the valve ball squeeze each other, the plurality of leak grooves can reduce the torque required to rotate the valve ball. A leak-groove length of the plurality of leak grooves is smaller than a seal-ring-member length of the seal ring member. The plurality of leak grooves do not penetrate the seal ring member for avoiding leakage of fluid.

Ball valve with pistoning seating surfaces

Valves having seats and counterseats that can be moved by fluid within the valve. In one embodiment, a valve includes a flow control assembly inside a body. The flow control assembly includes a ball rotatable between an open position and a closed position to control flow, a seat installed on the ball, and a counterseat installed in the body. The seat and the counterseat can move radially with respect to the ball and have mating surfaces that engage and seal against one another when the ball is in the closed position. The flow control assembly allows pressurized fluid in the body to cause net forces on the seat and the counterseat that push the seat and the counterseat toward each other when the ball is in the closed position. Additional valve systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
