Thermostat and coolant passage structure
A thermostat includes a valve member. The valve member has an insertion hole. The insertion hole is constituted by a first protective member and a second protective member. A shaft of a jiggle valve extends through the insertion hole. The jiggle valve has a substantially spherical head connected to an end of the shaft. The head closes the insertion hole by contacting the peripheral edge of the opening of the insertion hole. The materials of the first protective member and the second protective member each have a Vickers hardness higher than that of the valve member, which is part of the valve member other than the protective members.
DEAERATION VALVE
A deaeration valve includes a housing and a ball in fluid communication with housing. The ball can include a body, a seat defining a bleed passage therein, and a deaeration pin slidably disposed within the bleed passage. Further, the deaeration pin may include a head, a retention feature, and a shaft positioned between the head and the retention feature.
SLIDING AND ROTATABLE VENTED DAMPER FOR THE CONTROL OF A FLUID THROUGH A CONDUIT
The invention provides an apparatus for adjusting the flow of a fluid within a conduit, comprising a slide plate with a flat body and a fixed plate with a flat body. The slide plate and fixed plate have openings on their bodies. At a fully closed position, the openings of the slide plate do not substantially overlap with the openings of the fixed plate. By rotation of an actuator shaft and drive pin disposed thereon, the slide plate may move relative to the fixed plate, whereby the openings of the slide plate begin overlapping with the opening of the fixed plate, thereby allowing flow of fluid through the openings. Sequentially or independently from the movement of the slide plate, rotation of the actuator shaft may cause the fixed plate to rotate relative to the walls of the conduit, whereby flow of fluid may pass through the opening between the conduit and fixed plate assembly.

Externally adjustable flow management valve assembly and system
Disclosed is a system and valve assembly that can be used to promote the laminar flow of a variety of fluids and gases. In one embodiment, the valve assembly can be used to remove entrained water bubbles from a water supply. This, in turn, increases the density of water running through an associated water meter. This ensures that the water meter is not inaccurately including entrained air as metered water. The result is more accurate water readings and reduced utility bills. The assembly can be externally adjusted using an adjustment tool so as to increase or decrease the tension on an interior spring which, in turn, increases or decreases the rate at which the interior block oscillates.

Electromagnetic valve manifold
An electromagnetic valve manifold includes a manifold base including passages, a pilot electromagnetic valve including a valve body mounted on a mounting surface of the manifold base, a gasket arranged between the mounting surface and the valve body, and a check valve. The valve body includes an electromagnetic valve-side pilot fluid discharge passage. The manifold base includes a base-side pilot fluid discharge passage that opens in the mounting surface and communicates with the electromagnetic valve-side pilot fluid discharge passage. The check valve is configured to prevent fluid from flowing from the base-side pilot fluid discharge passage to the electromagnetic valve-side pilot fluid discharge passage. The check valve is integrated with the gasket.

Dispensing tap and methods for using the same
A dispensing tap for liquids includes a body connected to the neck of a container, a dispensing head with an outlet or mouth, and a throat connecting the body to the dispensing head. A shut off valve is configured for sealing engagement with the mouth of the dispensing head, and a piston is axially guided within the dispensing head. The piston includes a peripheral seal slidably engaged with an interior surface of the dispensing head, and a valve stem coupled to the shut off valve. The piston is selectively actuable between a normally closed position an open position. A spring is captured between the piston and the dispensing head normally biasing the piston and shut off valve to the closed position. A vent is in communication with an interior of the body and the vent is opened and closed with movement of the piston and shut off valve.
Hydrostatically Adjustable Valve and Associated System
The present disclosure relates to a hydrostatically adjustable flow control valve. The valve can be used to, for example, drive out entrained air from a water supply. However, it has beneficial uses in connection with a variety of other fluids. In one embodiment, the valve includes a fixed sleeve that slidably receives a spool. A spring biases the spool relative to the fixed sleeve. A primary orifice is used to deliver fluid to the interior area of the fixed sleeve and spool. A control device is used to selectively vary the rate at which fluid drains from the interior area. Draining the fluid results in the spool being received within the interior of the fixed sleeve. The movement of the spool opens flow ports within the sleeve. This, in turn, allows fluid to exit the valve. Conversely, the control device can be set to prevent fluid drainage. This results in the spool extending from interior of the fixed sleeve, the closure of the flow ports, and the sealing of the valve.
