CERAMIC JOINT BODY, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CERAMIC JOINT BODY, STATOR FOR FLOW CHANNEL SWITCHING VALVE, AND FLOW CHANNEL SWITCHING VALVE
The ceramic joint body according to the present disclosure includes: a first member made of ceramic and including a first flow channel configured to feed fluid; and a second member made of ceramic and including a second flow channel connected to the first flow channel to feed the fluid. The ceramic includes zirconium oxide and aluminum oxide, and at least one of the zirconium oxide and the aluminum oxide is a primary constituent, and a first opposing surface of the first member, which faces the second member, and a second opposing surface of the second member, which faces the first member, are connected by diffusion bonding.
CHOKE VALVE ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly for a choke valve assembly includes a housing having an internal passage, in which the housing is formed from a non-superhard material. The seat assembly also includes a seat disposed within the internal passage of the housing. The seat is configured to engage a needle of the choke valve assembly while the choke valve assembly is in a closed state, and the seat is formed from a first superhard material. In addition, the seat assembly includes an annular insert disposed within the internal passage of the housing downstream from the seat. The annular insert is formed from a second superhard material, and a maximum cross-sectional area of the seat along a longitudinal axis of the seat assembly is greater than a maximum cross-sectional area of the annular insert along the longitudinal axis.
GASKET FOR A BALL VALVE
Disclosed is a gasket for a ball valve including: a valve body; a ball rotatable housed in the valve body; a first and a second seat positioned inside the valve body and housing the ball; and a seal of the type including a first and a second gasket interposed between the first and the second seat and the ball. Each gasket is a one-piece composite gasket and includes at least a first layer and a second layer made of thermoplastic materials, where the hardness, tensile strength and coefficient of friction values are different between the first and second layer, and where the first layer has lower values and coacts in a fluid-tight manner directly with the ball, while the second layer has higher values, normally acts as support for the first layer and coacts in a fluid-tight manner with the ball only upon reaching given operating conditions.
ACOUSTIC DEVICE WITH SMA MICROSPRING SWITCH
An acoustic device may include a housing; an acoustic channel for passing sound through the housing; a valve seat arranged in the acoustic channel; a valve member configured to control the passing of sound through the channel depending on a configuration of the valve member with respect to the valve seat; an actuator comprising a first SMA wire section and a second SMA wire section configured to actuate the valve member and to change a configuration of the valve member with respect to the valve seat from an open configuration to a closed configuration and vice versa, respectively, when activated; and a retention mechanism which is configured to provide a retention force for retaining the valve member in the closed configuration, wherein the retention force is configured to be overcome by the actuator such that the valve member is released from the closed configuration upon activation of the actuator.
Sintered Valve Seat Insert and Method of Manufacture Thereof
A powder admixture useful for making a sintered valve seat insert includes a first iron-base powder and second iron-base powder wherein the first iron-base powder has a higher hardness than the second iron-base powder, the first iron-base powder including, in weight percent, 1-2% C, 10-25% Cr, 5-20% Mo, 15-25% Co, and 30-60 wt. % Fe, and the second iron-base powder including, in weight %, 1-1.5% C, 3-15% Cr, 5-7% Mo, 3-6% W, 1-1.7% V, and 60-85% Fe. The powder admixture can be sintered to form a sintered valve seat insert optionally infiltrated with copper.
ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE MITIGATION VALVE
This disclosure provides operative components that mitigate electrostatic charge in fluid circuits. Illustrative embodiments include diaphragm valves that provide fluid control and allow static charge to dissipate when these diaphragm valves are grounded.
ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED VALVE SEATS AND SEALS INCLUDING A METAL-THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE
The disclosure provides for sealing systems including a composite material that includes a thermoplastic lattice structure having interstitial space that is filled with fusible metal. The composite material is formed by additively manufacturing the lattice structure, and then filling the interstitial space with the metal. The composite material may be used to form portions of valves and seals.
Safely release bleeder valve
A safety release bleeder valve serving as a plug includes a barrel having an exterior surface and an interior throughbore surface for matingly receiving a plug having a top end with exterior threads and an interior socket for receiving a driver tool for moving the plug between an open venting state and a closed non-venting state.
NEEDLE TIP AND SEAT FOR A CHOKE VALVE
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a choke valve that includes a choke body, a choke trim disposed in the choke body, where the choke trim is configured to adjust a cross-sectional area of a flow path in the choke body to adjust a fluid flow through the choke valve, a needle of the choke trim disposed in the flow path of the fluid flow, where the needle includes a first portion having a superhard material, a seat of the choke trim, where the needle is configured to move along an axis extending through an opening of the seat to adjust the fluid flow through the choke valve.
FREEZE RESISTANT VALVE
A valve includes a valve body having an input port and an outlet port. The valve body defines a fluid passageway extending between input port and an outlet port. The valve also includes a valve element disposed in the fluid passageway that controls a flow a fluid through the valve body from the input port to the outlet port. One or more of the fluid passageway and the valve control element is coated with a phobic coating.
