Medical cleaning valve

A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.

SAFETY VALVE FOR HYDRAULIC OR PNEUMATIC TOOL
20210364097 · 2021-11-25 · ·

Provided is a safety valve (10) comprising a body (12) which defines an incoming fluid passage (14) and a return fluid passage (20). The incoming fluid passage (14) generally enables a fluid to pass from a fluid reservoir (18) through the body (12) to the tool head (16). The return fluid passage (20) generally enables a fluid to return from the tool head (16) through the body back to the fluid reservoir (18). The body (12) further comprises a diverter (22) which is displaceable between an active position and an inactive position. When the diverter (22) is in the active position, the diverter (22) redirects the fluid via a shunting passage (24) from the incoming fluid passage (14) to the return passage (20) to prevent operation of the tool head (16).

Valve unit including a reinforcement mechanism with optional sensor assembly

A valve unit may include a valve and a sensor assembly coupled to the valve. The valve may include a check disk configured to move along a pre-determined path to contact a valve seat in a closed state and configured to decouple from the valve seat in an open state. The valve may also include a mechanism to restrain lateral movement of the check disk to prevent the check disk from sticking. The sensor assembly may include a position sensor configured to generate a first electrical signal related to movement of the check disk and may include circuitry coupled to the position sensor. The position sensor assembly may generate a reference signal to eliminate noise within the first electrical signal. The circuitry may determine fluid flow parameters including flow volume of liquid components and of gas components of the fluid mixture based on frequency components within the first electrical signal.

VALVE ASSEMBLY WITH SERVICE STOP WITH MULTIPLE TOOL INTERFACES

A valve assembly includes an inlet to receive a fluid into the valve assembly, an outlet to discharge the fluid from the valve assembly and a service stop coupled to the inlet or the outlet. The service stop can rotate relative to the inlet or the outlet to control a flow of the fluid through the inlet or the outlet. The service stop can include a first tool interface to receive a first hand tool and transfer a first torque from the first hand tool to the service stop to facilitate rotating the service stop using the first hand tool. The service stop can include a second tool interface to receive a second hand tool different from the first hand tool and configured to transfer a second torque from the second hand tool to the service stop to facilitate rotating the service stop using the second hand tool.

Tool and method for actuating a valve and method for making the tool

Various non-limiting embodiments of a tool for actuating a valve, a method for making a tool for actuating a valve, and a method for actuating a valve, are provided. In one example, the tool includes a shaft defining a longitudinal axis and configured to transfer force to the valve for actuating the valve. A body has a wall surrounding a portion of the shaft. The wall defines a track that is formed therein and that has a track section substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. A positive feature is coupled to the shaft and disposed in the track. The shaft is slidingly coupled to the body and when a force is applied to the shaft in a direction aligned with the longitudinal axis, the shaft moves relative to the body and the positive feature moves through the track section that restricts the shaft from being rotated about the longitudinal axis.
