Butterfly valve

Exemplary embodiments are directed to butterfly valves, generally including a body assembly and handle assembly. The body assembly generally includes a body, a disc rotationally disposed inside an opening of the body, a cog, and a stem passing through the disc and the body. The handle assembly generally includes a handle body and a force ring. The stem can be rotationally interlocked relative to the disc and the handle assembly. The cog and the force ring can engage to rotationally secure the disc relative to the body. The handle assembly can include a lever and a grip, the force ring, the lever and the grip being pivotally secured relative to each other. The body can include a male radial protrusion and the body assembly can include a liner with a female radial groove. Methods of assembling and positioning a butterfly valve are also provided.

A self-contained breathing apparatus for providing breathable air in emergency situations is disclosed. The breathing apparatus comprises a cylinder containing a supply of breathable air therein; a manifold adapted to be removably coupled to the cylinder; a release valve provided internally within the cylinder such that the release valve, when depressed, causes the cylinder to release the breathable air into the manifold; a lever arranged on the manifold and coupled with the release valve such that pressing of the lever causes depression of the release valve; a safety pin arranged with the manifold such that the safety pin, in a preset position, prevents pressing of the lever, wherein the safety pin needs to be moved from the preset position to allow pressing of the lever; and a mouthpiece disposed in fluid communication with the manifold to receive the breathable air therefrom.

FLUID HANDLING COUPLING BODY WITH LATCH

Fluid handling couplings can be made to connect and disconnect other members of a fluid handling system. For example, this document describes fluid couplings that are convenient to couple/decouple and that provide strong resistance to inadvertent disconnection when subjected to rotation while pressurized. In some embodiments, the resistance to inadvertent disconnection is facilitated by a latch mechanism of the female coupling that includes a protrusion that becomes seated in a groove of a mated male coupling.

BUTTERFLY VALVE LOCKING MECHANISM AND BUTTERFLY VALVE INCORPORATING THE SAME
20210222792 · 2021-07-22 ·

A valve locking mechanism, comprising: a handle configured to rotate about a rotation axis; a position plate comprising a plurality of locking holes positioned about an outer circumferential edge of the position plate, the plurality of locking holes spaced apart from each other in a rotational direction of the handle, each of the plurality of locking holes completely surrounded by the position plate; a locking lever pivotally connected to the handle about a connection point and configured to move between a locked position and an unlocked position, the locking lever including a locking stud mounted to the locking lever and configured to engage any one of the plurality of locking holes when the locking lever is in the locked position; and a spring to bias the locking lever toward the locked position. In the locked position, the handle is locked at a rotation position corresponding to the engaged locking hole.

Actuator for controlling a valve

An actuator for controlling a valve having a valve rod is provided. The actuator includes a manual override arrangement for manually moving the actuator spindle, the manual override arrangement including a locking element, an actuator spindle holder housing at least a portion of an actuator spindle. A guiding arrangement is adapted to guide the actuator spindle along the actuator spindle holder. In a normal operating mode the actuator spindle holder is locked to the locking element, and the actuator spindle is guidable along the actuator spindle holder via the guiding arrangement. In a manual override operating mode, the actuator spindle holder is unlocked from the locking element, and the actuator spindle holder is rotatable together with the actuator spindle via the guiding arrangement.
