Fire extinguisher and method
The invention comprises a fire extinguisher and method, wherein the fire extinguisher has a sealable high-pressure container that forms a hollow interior connected by a valve to an environment external to the said container. The said container holds at a high pressure at room temperature a composition of liquid carbon dioxide and a non-hydrate, hydrophobic, cyclic organo-siloxane compound, the said compound further having a freezing point of at least −20° C. at one atmosphere. Upon release of the combination to the environment external to the container, the compound further produces a clathrate. In at least one embodiment of the invention, both the clathrate and the non-hydrate, hydrophobic, cyclic organo-siloxane compound have firefighting conductive properties.

MOUNT DE-ACTUATED SAFETY MECHANISM
A valve assembly includes a valve with a valve body and chamber. A poppet with a stem and piston is slidably engaged inside the valve body. A poppet release mechanism is included for releasing the poppet from a closed position. A mechanism cover is attached to the valve body. A safety mechanism with a pin, spring, and lever is included for preventing the poppet from moving into a fully open position. A first end of the pin extends into the chamber into a pathway of the poppet and a second end of the pin extends into the valve body of the valve. The spring is positioned between and in contact with the pin and the mechanism cover to bias the pin toward the poppet. A first end of the lever is pivotably attached to the pin and a second end of the lever extends out from the valve body.
Fire extinguishing appliance adjustable in foam expansion ratio
A fire extinguishing appliance adjustable in foam expansion ratio includes a main body, a spray-head seat connected with the main body, and a guide unit. The main body is provided with an agent chamber received therein with a non-toxic agent, while the guide unit is formed with an inlet, an outlet and an inner wall having a damping piece mounted thereon. Thus, when the non-toxic agent is actuated to pass through the inlet and get into the guide unit, the non-toxic agent will collide with the damping piece and rotate to carry out foaming, able to enhance the foam expansion ratio, the mixing efficiency and the fire extinguishing efficiency of the non-toxic agent.
