Housing of a solenoid valve unit, solenoid valve unit, clutch actuation unit, vehicle clutch unit and method for installing the solenoid valve unit
A housing of a solenoid valve unit for controlling a central clutch actuator of a utility vehicle is configured for installation in a transmission housing, preferably in a clutch case, and for accommodating at least one solenoid valve. The housing has an elongate housing shape that is curved along its longitudinal direction to enable installation in tight spaces.
Device and method for discharging fuel vapor from a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine
A device for discharging fuel vapor from a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine has a container which is situated in the fuel supply system and contains liquid fuel under an upwardly limited pressure. A discharge line, which leads to a tank venting system, leads out of the container. The device also has a detector for detecting vaporous fuel in the container and a blocking device which is coupled to the detector and with which the discharge line can be opened or blocked depending on the detection. A method for discharging fuel vapor from a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine continuously detects whether vaporous fuel is also present in the container which is situated in the fuel supply system and contains the liquid fuel under an upwardly limited pressure; opens the discharge line if the vaporous fuel has been detected and blocks the discharge line if no vaporous fuel has been detected; and discharges the vaporous fuel through the opened discharge line while retaining the liquid fuel.
PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICE
A pressure relief valve configured to vent a pressurized tank in the event of a fire is provided. The pressure relief valve includes a body, a vent passage, a plug and a latch. The vent passage is disposed through the body. The vent passage can be placed in fluid communication with an internal volume of a tank and with the atmosphere. The plug is moveably mounted in the vent passage. The latch has a blocking member disposed in contact with a control end of the plug in a first configuration and out of contact with the control end in a second configuration. The second configuration allows movement of the plug in the vent passage. One or both of a shape memory alloy wire and a trigger piston is configured to actuate the latch from the first to the second configuration. The shape memory alloy wire is configured to shorten when exposed to a temperature above a threshold temperature. The trigger piston moves, e.g., by a pressurized gas, in a trigger actuation passage to actuate the latch from the first configuration to the second configuration.
SPRING FRACTURE DETECTION IN A PRELOADED ACTUATOR OF A CONTROL VALVE
The invention relates to a method for detecting a spring breakage in a preloaded drive of a control valve. The method is based on the fact that the pressure which must be applied to achieve a certain valve member position falls significantly after the breakage or failure of the spring. The breakage of a spring in a preloaded drive can thus be detected reliably using the sensor system already present in the control valve, moreover without having to disrupt or interrupt operation.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING BACKFLOW PREVENTER CONDITION
A backflow preventer including a body having an inlet for connection to an upstream portion of a plumbing system and an outlet for connection to a downstream portion of the plumbing system, a first check valve and a second check valve located in the body for preventing the reverse flow of water between the outlet and the inlet. An inlet pressure zone is positioned between the inlet and the first check valve, an outlet pressure zone is positioned between the outlet and the second check valve, and an intermediate pressure zone is positioned between the first and the second check valves. Position sensors sense the positions of the check valves, and pressure sensors sense the pressures in the zone. A controller in communication with the position sensors and the pressure sensors calculates the opening and closing pressures of the check valves.
Butterfly valve
A butterfly valve has a rod connected to a DD motor and disposed along a direction orthogonal to a flow path, and a butterfly valve body that is linked to the rod and that opens and closes the flow path due to the rod being rotated by the DD motor, wherein a linking body center of gravity, which is the center of gravity of a rotating liking body having at least the rod and the butterfly valve body as constituent members, is positioned on an axial line of a rotating shaft of the DD motor.
Electronic expansion valve, control system, and control method
Provided are an electronic expansion valve, a control system, and a control method, including: a step motor and a Hall sensor; the step motor includes a rotor and a stator; the rotor includes a permanent magnet; the Hall sensor is provided on the outer periphery of the permanent magnet; the Hall sensor and rotor are arranged in the radial direction, and the stator and Hall sensor are arranged in the axial direction; the main-body part of the Hall sensor is used for sensing the magnetic pole change of the permanent magnet; such a structure reduces the effect that an operating environment has on the Hall sensor when detecting a signal.
GAS SAFETY SHUTOFF
A system for igniting a grill can include a solenoid valve, a flame rectification sensor, an igniter, and a control circuit connected to the solenoid valve and the flame rectification sensor. The solenoid valve controls flow of gas to the grill's burner and includes a switch that closes when a handle connected to the switch opens the solenoid valve. The control circuit sends current to the solenoid valve when the switch is closed to hold the solenoid valve open. After the switch closes, the igniter is ignited. After ignition, the control circuit monitors the presence of a flame with a flame rectification sensor. If no flame is detected after a certain amount of time, the control circuit stops sending current to the solenoid valve to close the solenoid valve.
SOLENOID VALVE DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND METHOD
A solenoid valve diagnostic apparatus includes a plurality of solenoid valves that open or close an entrance/exit opening of a fuel tank, a current sensor that measures an operating current of the solenoid valves, and a controller that diagnoses whether the solenoid valves fail, based on the operating current measured by the current sensor.
Adjustment of stroke end positions of a process control valve
A method of adjusting stroke end positions of a process control valve is provided. A valve control mechanism is set up to continuously determine an actual position value from a travel-measurement system value acquired by a travel-measurement system, taking a first travel-measurement system final value and a second travel-measurement system final value into account. The method comprises the recognition of a first stroke end position when the process control valve is fully closed, and the recognition of a second stroke end position when the process control valve is fully open. The method further comprises the storage of the travel-measurement system value corresponding to the first stroke end position as the first travel-measurement system final value, and the storage of the travel-measurement system value corresponding to the second stroke end position as the second travel-measurement system final value. The process control valve is a component of a process plant, and the steps of an associated process are carried out during operation of the process plant. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding program code, to a valve control mechanism, and to a process control valve.
