Downhole valve position monitor
An apparatus for detecting a position of a moveable component of a valve disposed in a borehole penetrating the earth includes a radioactive marker disposed on the moveable component and a radiation detector configured to detect radiation emitted by the radioactive marker. The apparatus also includes a controller configured to receive radiation detection information from the radiation detector and to correlate the radiation detection information to the position of the moveable component.
STEAM INJECTION VALVE ACTUATOR, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A valve actuator system includes a valve actuator assembly having a body defining an interior cavity and a piston coupled to a piston rod and movable within a piston cylinder provided within the interior cavity. The piston cylinder has a first chamber on a first side of the piston and a second chamber on a second rod side of the piston. One or more electronic components are disposed within the interior cavity and include at least one processor. The one or more electronic components are configured to move the piston via controlled air pressure and to continuously monitor and/or determine a position of the piston rod relative to the piston cylinder. A fail-safe reservoir is coupled to a source of air and is connected to both the first chamber and the second chamber to provide operating air thereto. A controller is configured to communicate with the processor of the one or more electronic components remote from the body and to selectively monitor and control functions of the valve actuator systems from the controller. The first chamber is maintained at a substantially constant pressure and the second chamber is varied in pressure to move and/or to hold the position of the piston to place the piston rod at a desired position relative to the piston cylinder.
Valve system with position indicator
A valve system having a valve position indicator is disclosed. The valve position indicator allows for viewing of the valve position from one or more viewing locations. In one example, the valve position indicator includes a side valve open/close indicator and a top valve open/close indicator on a valve assembly. An indicator locking mechanism securely locks the valve position indicator in alignment with a position of a control valve.
MOTORISED VALVE WITH VERTICAL SHAFT AND SUPER CAPACITOR BACKUP POWER
A valve assembly is provided, the valve assembly includes a shaft, the shaft comprising a sight through-hole; and a flow through-hole. The valve assembly further comprises a shaft position mechanism, the shaft position mechanism comprising a driving means configured to provide movement to the shaft, and at least one diode and at least one corresponding sensor. The valve assembly further includes at least one flow path from at least one fluid inlet to at least one fluid outlet, wherein the shaft is configured to move across the at least one flow path so as to allow flow therethrough in a first position, and to block the at least one flow path in a second position.
TIME-CONTROLLED VALVE WITH WARNING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a valve with time-controlled opening, provided for use in containers, receptacles or sealed elements. The valve can be a system integrated in the container, receptacle or sealed element itself, or an external system which is added to the element at the moment at which it is to be used. A valve of this type emits a signal at the time of opening, once determined temperature or vapour generation conditions have been achieved. In this way, the valve is activated by the increase in temperature of the sealed space, enabling it to be timed such that said activation occurs at the time and under conditions that have been previously determined, and enabling the user to have greater control.
Valve handle locking mechanism
A locking mechanism for a valve handle has a slider arranged to slide back and forth in a slot in the valve handle, between a lock position, in which the slider engages with a stop on the valve body and an unlock position, in which the slider does not engage with a stop. The slider is formed in two parts, which are inserted from opposite sides of the slot and snap fit together. The slider has indicia to indicate whether the slider is in the lock or unlock position, and the slider is arranged so as to cover the fastener which attaches the valve handle to the valve body.
Two-way valve for flow rate control and temperature control device using the same
Provided are a two-way valve for flow rate control and a temperature control device using the same, which can linearly control a flow rate of a fluid with good accuracy as compared to a switching valve in which a communication hole is simply formed in a valve element so as to open a flow passage through alignment with an outflow portion. The two-way valve for flow rate control, includes: a valve main body (6), which includes a valve seat (8) having a columnar space, and has a first valve port (9) formed in one end portion of the valve main body in an axial direction of the valve seat (8) so as to allow flow of a fluid, and a second valve port (11) that is formed in a peripheral wall of the valve seat (8) to allow flow of the fluid and has a rectangular cross section; a valve element (12), which is arranged in a freely rotatable manner in the valve seat (8) of the valve main body (6), and has a shape forming a part of a cylindrical shape having a predetermined central angle (α) so as to linearly change an opening area of the second valve port (11); and drive means (3) configured to rotate and drive the valve element (12).
Method for Monitoring Valves
Method for monitoring valves, in particular valves of a fire fighting system, comprising capturing first sensor signals at a valve in an intact state with a sensor, training the monitoring with the first sensor signals captured at the valve in the intact state, capturing second sensor signals at the valve in an unknown state with the sensor, comparing the trained first sensor signals with the second sensor signals and outputting a signal in case of a deviation of the second sensor signals from the first sensor signals above a limit value.
Manufacture of actuators and control valve assemblies
An actuator for use in a control valve assembly that has a structure amenable to manufacture. The actuator may comprise a housing comprising a plurality of walls secured to one another with fasteners to form an interior cavity, a torque hub disposed in the interior cavity, the torque hub comprising a torque body and a torque arm that are releasably engaged with one another via fasteners, each of the torque body and the torque arm having interfacing geometry that defines surfaces that engage with opposing surfaces on the other; and a load generator coupled with the torque hub.
Rotary valves for dialysis systems
In one aspect, a dialysis fluid cassette includes an inlet fluid line, multiple outlet fluid lines, and a valve including an actuation feature by which the valve can be rotated to fluidly communicate the inlet fluid line with a selected fluid line of the multiple outlet fluid lines.
