WATER FLOW REGULATION
20230175594 · 2023-06-08 ·

A flow regulation valve includes a housing having a valve seat within the housing. A poppet valve disposed in the housing includes a crown and a spring that biases the crown into engagement with the valve seat. An abutment surface is situated to engage an end of the spring distal from the crown. An adjustor that is accessible from outside the housing selectively sets a tension on the spring by moving the abutment surface relative to the crown.

Fluid dispensing device with safety valve
11668405 · 2023-06-06 · ·

A safety valve is for controlling dispensing of a fluid flow from a conduit. A valve body forms an inlet opening of the fluid, an outlet opening of the fluid, and a main passageway for the fluid which fluidly connects the inlet opening to the outlet opening. At least one fluid relief opening fluidly communicates with the outlet opening through a valve seat. A shutter elastically cooperates with the valve seat to be biased by an elastic device to sealingly close the valve seat, and to open said seat when the pressure of the fluid in the outlet opening exceeds the force applied by said elastic device.

A valve device includes an operating portion including an operating rod switchable between a first state where the operating rod is at a first position, a second state where the operating rod is displaced from the first position, and a third state where the operating rod is displaced from the first position, a push member that can advance by being pushed by the operating rod, a first valve that can be opened and closed in accordance with the amount of displacement of the operating rod and the push member from the first position, a housing storing the first valve, and a second valve that can open and close a communication passage allowing communication inside and outside the housing by switching operation of the operating rod so as to switch from the first state to the second state.

Valve device

A valve device includes a housing, a valve member, a valve seat member, a fixing member for fixing the valve seat member to the housing, and a housing-side seal portion. The housing has a valve chamber, and a housing-space inner wall forming a housing space communicating with the valve chamber. The housing-side seal portion blocks a flow of fluid between the valve seat member and the housing-space inner wall. The valve seat member has a tubular portion and a flange portion connected to the tubular portion. The flange portion is interposed between a facing surface of the housing-space inner wall and the fixing member in an axial direction. The fixing member is fixed to the housing-space inner wall in an airtight state. The housing-side seal portion is made of a rubber material and is interposed between the flange portion and the fixing member.

Spring controlling valve

A valve member for a spring-loaded valve assembly includes a top portion having a spring retaining recess, the spring retaining recess extending into the top portion to form a void space, the void space to receive at least one coil of a spring, the spring retaining recess having a recess diameter that is smaller than a top portion diameter, wherein the recess diameter is larger than a rest diameter of a spring base including the coil, the spring retaining recess blocking expansion of the at least one coil when the spring is compressed. The valve member also includes a bottom portion coupled to the top portion. The valve member further includes a sealing element positioned axially below a shoulder of the top portion and legs coupled to the bottom portion.

Check valve

The invention relates to petroleum engineering, and more particularly to the design of a check valve that can be used in conjunction with downhole sucker-rod pumps or electric centrifugal pumps primarily intended for pumping fluids with a high solid particle content. A ball check valve comprises: a hollow cylindrical housing having an internal annular protrusion; a valve pair mounted inside said housing and being in the form of an annular seat and a ball locking member; and a means for limiting the movement of the closure member, which is in the form of a cage with through holes for fluid flow. Between the seat and the cage there is mounted an annular elastic member, the inner diameter of which is not greater than the diameter of the ball locking member. The annular elastic element performs a dual function: when closing the valve provides additional pressing of the ball locking element to the seat due to the arising elastic forces; and provides additional sealing. Also, in the open position, additional forces do not act on the ball locking element, which reduces the hydraulic resistance of the valve. Thus, the use of an annular elastic element in the design of the check valve increases the valve life and increases its energy efficiency during operation.

VALVE GUIDE WITH EXTERNAL RETURN SPRING FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
20230332693 · 2023-10-19 ·

A piston valve for a brass-wind musical instrument has spring barrel in which are formed opposing first and second keyways. A valve stem screws onto the top of the spring barrel. A loose key extends transversely through the first and second keyways. A bottom ring is slidably disposed around the spring barrel. The bottom ring has opposing notches. The loose key acts as a crossbar supporting the bottom ring in its notches from underneath and enabling the bottom ring a degree of independent movement. A return spring is captured between the bottom ring and a top ring at the valve step/spring barrel interface. The loose key has a generally rectangular cross-section with first and second protruding ends fit within the respective first and second keyways. The first protruding end can have a major T-shaped head, whereas the second protruding end may have a minor t-shaped head.

CLAMPING A PLUG TIP IN A CONTROL VALVE

A plug assembly that is configured to secure a plug tip to a valve stem. These configurations may include a clamp that secures to an end of the valve stem. The clamp encloses at least part of the plug tip. In one implementation, the design may include a spring assembly that generates a pre-load on the top of the plug tip, as well. The clamp is useful because it accommodates plug tips made from ceramics and like, brittle materials. Its features can prevent certain mechanical failure, for example, cracks or breaks that can occur during manufacture or assembly. As an added benefit, the device can maintain alignment of the plug tip with the valve stem. This feature can ensure proper engagement with a seat in a flow control, like a control valve.

DIRECTIONAL AND FLOW CONTROL VALVE AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

A directional and flow control valve includes: a housing with a pump port, a first supply/discharge port, a second supply/discharge port, and a tank port, the housing including therein a first pilot chamber, a second pilot chamber, and a third pilot chamber; and a first spool and a second spool, which are independent of each other. The first spool includes a first end surface facing the first pilot chamber and a second end surface facing the third pilot chamber. The second spool includes a first end surface facing the second pilot chamber and a second end surface facing the third pilot chamber. The first spool brings the first supply/discharge port into one of the pump port or the tank port, and the second spool brings the second supply/discharge port into the other one of the pump port or the tank port.
