CONSTRUCTION OF TUBULAR ASSEMBLIES
A method and apparatus for constructing a tubular assembly 40 comprising an inner portion (24) and a further portion (23) surrounding the inner portion. The inner portion (24) comprises reinforcement (37) and the further portion (23) being formed from a strip (50) of material comprising two opposed longitudinal marginal side portions (53). The apparatus comprises an assembly station (220) comprising a wall (253). The apparatus comprises means for advancing the inner portion (21) along a first path (231) extending passed the wall (253), and means for advancing the strip (50) along a second path (232) and causing the strip to encircle the wall (253) and thereby wrap about and surround the inner portion (21). The apparatus further comprises means (321) for introducing resinous binder into the reinforcement (37) as the strip (50) is being wrapped about the inner portion (21).
Pipe support system, and method of use
A pipe support system. The pipe support system comprises a first wedge block and a second opposing wedge block. Each of the blocks comprises a base having walls. In addition, each of the blocks supports an angled roller bearing. The roller bearings are configured to support a joint or section of pipe along an outer diameter of the pipe. Beneficially, the distance or spacing between the wedge blocks may be adjusted by an operator to accommodate sections of pipe having different diameters. A method for supporting a section of pipe is also provided.
Composite Pipeline Sleeper with Hollow Outer Shell and Rigid Internal Reinforcement
A composite pipeline sleeper features a rotationally molded outer shell, and an internal reinforcement structure that is disposed within, is materially distinct from, and is more rigid than, said rotationally molded outer shell. A topside of said pipeline sleeper comprises a cradle-shaped area for seated receipt of a pipe thereatop.
CONSTRUCTION OF TUBULAR ASSEMBLIES
A method and apparatus for constructing a tubular assembly (24) comprising an inner portion (21) and a further portion (22) surrounding the inner portion, the further portion being formed from a strip (50) of material comprising two opposed longitudinal marginal side portions (53). The apparatus (100) comprises an assembly station (106) having a wall (122). The apparatus (100) comprises means for advancing the inner portion (21) along a first path (111) extending past the wall, and means for advancing the strip (50) along a second path (112) and causing the strip to encircle the wall and thereby wrap about and surround the inner portion (21). The two marginal side portions (53) are disposed in overlapping relation on the side of the wall opposed to the first path (111). The apparatus (100) further comprises a system (131) for affixing the two longitudinal marginal side portions (53) together in overlapping relation to assemble the strip (50) into a tubular configuration about the inner portion (21), whereby the strip in the tubular configuration provides the further portion (22).
Adjustable vertical support frame
An adjustable Vertical Support Member (VSM) that can be raised or lowered by turning a crank. Each VSM consists of a outer frame that has a base, and an inner frame that is adjustably positioned within the outer frame. A crank system is provided to lift (or lower) the inner frame as needed to restore the pipe to its original position. In this way, a pipeline can be set easily over varied terrain or, for operational reasons, at different heights, without equipment or large crews.
Air duct support
An air duct support for supporting flexible air ducts and similar pipes without constricting airflow through the pipes. The support has an arcuate main body portion for receiving a portion of the conduit therein and an upright support attached to a bottom of the top portion and supporting the conduit at an elevated position in relation to a base surface, where said arcuate main body portion includes strengthening beads that run the length of said main body. The top portion rotates 360 degrees in relation to the support member to accommodate any direction of extension of the conduit.
Rapid deployment frac water transfer system
A method of and apparatus for the rapid deployment of a fracturing water transferring system, along with the rapid picking up and storage of such system after use. In different embodiments the method in includes the use of a tensioning system to retrieve one or more segments of lay flat hose.
PIPE RETRIEVER APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A pipe retrieval machine has a frame defining a decoupling region and a travel axis and a transporting mechanism having a first gripping structure adjacent an infeed end of the machine and a second gripping structure adjacent an outfeed end of the machine. The decoupling region is disposed between the first and second gripping structures. A drive system is configured to move the first and second gripping structures at a steady state speed to direct the pipe along the travel axis. A decoupling device in the decoupling region has a decoupler that is automatically operable to engage a locking part of the coupling. The decoupling device is configured to selectively and automatically stop the pipe relative to the decoupling device, to disassemble at least one pipe section from the pipe, to move the detached pipe section from the machine, and to advance the remaining pipe for disassembly.
Service line transport and deployment system
The present invention relates to a positioning system for service lines. Generally, the invention relates to a mechanism for the deployment, retraction, and transportation of fixed-length service lines such as electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and communication resources necessary to the operation of a drilling rig used for subterranean exploration. More particularly, the invention provides an extendable cable positioning system for use with drilling rigs where pad drilling will require relatively short distance movements of the drilling rig, and it is desirable to leave the energy resource systems stationary.
Pipe guide
A pipe guide for laying radiant heat tubing includes a member with cutouts spaced along a flat surface of the member, the cutouts being spaced apart and configured to efficiently space pipes apart from each other by a predetermined distance.
