Pipelaying

An in-line accessory structure for a subsea pipeline has an elongate pipe section arranged to be integrated into the pipeline, hence defining a flow axis through the structure. A branch has a lower end in fluid communication with the pipe section and an upper end in fluid communication with a connector hub. The structure further has a subsea foundation such as a mudmat, arranged to support the structure installed orientation. When the structure is in that orientation, the branch inclines inwardly from its lower end toward its upper end in a transverse direction, toward an upright longitudinal plane containing the flow axis.

ADAPTER ASSEMBLY, FLOWLINE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY AND SUBSEA PRODUCTION SYSTEM

An adapter assembly for connecting a flowline which includes an end portion to a subsea tree which includes a fluid line connector. The adapter assembly includes an adapter base, a first connection element which is connected to the adapter base and which connects to the fluid line connector of the subsea tree, and a flowline connector assembly which includes a second connection element which connects to the end portion of the flowline. The flowline connector assembly is attached to the adapter base. The adapter assembly connects to the subsea tree via the first connection element.

Connection device for joining two pipe sections

A connection device for joining two pipe sections in a body of water has a first tubular body having a spherical face; a second tubular body having at least one spherical face; a tubular pusher arranged about the second tubular body and having a spherical face; a first mechanism for coupling the second tubular body between the first tubular body and the tubular pusher and providing a spherical coupling between the first and the second tubular body; and a second mechanism for blocking any movement about the spherical coupling of the second tubular body with respect to the first tubular body and the tubular pusher.

Filament reinforced tapes useful as underwater pipe wrap

A member for use in undersea applications comprising a plurality of conduits assembled into a bundle; the bundle being wrapped with a pressure-sensitive tape comprising a backing, a layer of corrosion-resistant filaments on one surface of the backing, and pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that coats the filaments and binds them to the backing.

A member for use in undersea applications comprising a plurality of conduits assembled into a bundle; the bundle being wrapped with a pressure-sensitive tape comprising a backing, a layer of corrosion-resistant yarns on one surface of the backing, and pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that coats the corrosion-resistant yarns and binds them to the backing.

Coated conduits and methods of repairing or reinforcing conduits

The present invention is directed to a coated conduit comprising: a) a conduit having an interior and exterior surface; and b) a cured coating formed from a reaction mixture that is applied to at least one surface of the conduit. The reaction mixture comprises: i) a filler material comprising fibers ranging in length from 0.1 to 15.54 cm and having an aspect ratio of at least 5; and ii) a reactive component that demonstrates a tack-free time of less than five minutes at a temperature of 20 to 25° C. The present invention is also directed to a method of repairing or reinforcing a conduit, comprising: (a) applying a curable coating composition to at least one surface of the conduit, wherein the curable coating composition is formed from the reaction mixture described above; and (b) allowing the curable coating composition to at least partially cure by exposing the composition to ambient conditions.
