Device for facilitating pipeline repair
A device for winding a reinforcing strip onto a repair length on either side of a portion to be repaired of a pipe, including: a carriage bearing a reel holder and a reel, means for rotating the carriage around the pipe and for translating same along the longitudinal axis of the pipe so that the strip is wound around the pipe in the form of a helix, means for reversing the direction of translation movement of the carriage so that, at each change of direction, the carriage moves in a direction opposite to the previous one and a layer of reinforcing strip is wound around the pipe, overlapping the previous layer. The means for translating the carriage include a conveying chain and the reversing means are actuated automatically without the intervention of an operator.
CONNECTOR FOR PIPELINES AND METHOD TO CONNECT THE CONNECTOR TO A PIPELINE
A connector for a pipeline, in particular for conveying hydrocarbons, extends along a longitudinal axis and has a gripping portion configured to be fitted around and clamped to the outer face; a sleeve portion, which is mounted in sliding manner to the gripping portion; a metal front gasket configured to be placed between the front end face and a face of the sleeve portion; and linear actuators connected with the gripping portion and the sleeve portion to axially compress the metal front gasket between the front end face of the pipeline and the face of the sleeve portion.

Poppet coupling
The present invention provides a double poppet valve coupling comprising a first coupling half (1) and a second coupling half (2), wherein each of the first and second coupling halves comprises a housing (3) and a poppet valve assembly (7) with a spring biased poppet element (9), wherein the housing comprises a through-going bore (4), a first connecting end (5), a second connecting end (6) and a poppet seat (11), and the first and the second coupling halves may be coupled together via their respective first connecting ends (5) such that the respective poppet valve assemblies are opened providing a continuous flow path through the coupling; the end section of the poppet element comprises a pressure equalizing fluid channel (36a,36b).
Tie-in of subsea pipeline
A method of installing a header pipe joint 1 at a subsea structure 5 is provided, comprising providing a header pipe joint 1 having at least one valve 2 installed therein and connecting the header pipe joint 1 inline of a spool 15 or pipeline 18 prior to lowering the header pipe joint 1 to the subsea structure 5. The header pipe joint 1 is then lowered to the subsea structure 5, and the valve 2 is connected to the subsea structure (e.g. a subsea production system of the subsea structure such as a xmas tree) with a connection bridge e.g. a choke bridge 14. This provides a fluidic connection between the subsea structure and the header pipe joint. The subsea structure 5 comprises a foundation, e.g. suction anchors 11, which provide support for both a wellhead and the header pipe joint. A subsea assembly comprising a subsea structure 5, header pipe joint 1 and connection bridge 14 is also provided.
