TWIST-BASE MOUNT
20170284592 · 2017-10-05 ·

The Twist-Base Mount couples a single-screw, substrate-penetrating element with an elastically-deformable, concave base element that, once installed, acts as a spring, exerting a downward force upon the substrate around its circumference. Because the base element is rigidly attached to the substrate-penetrating element, a force applied to the Mount parallel to the plane of the substrate is offset by the pressure of the perimeter of the base element against the substrate, resulting in additional strength. The Mount's single-screw, self-boring element allows quick and easy installation. The spring-like base-element permits 360-degree rotation of the Mount while maintaining uniform pressure against the substrate, thereby preserving strength regardless of rotational positioning. The mount remains economical in relation to mounts of similar strength and rotational adjustability due to its insert-molded construction.

HOLDER FOR TUBE CONNECTOR AND HOLDING STRUCTURE
20170284565 · 2017-10-05 ·

The present disclosure provides a holder for holding a tube connector for an in-vehicle component. The holder includes a first arm that has a first engaging portion, a second arm that has a second engaging portion, and a fastener. A proximal portion of the first arm is connected to a proximal portion of the second arm at a connection point. The first arm and the second arm are configured to be flexible toward each other by flexing about the connection point. The first engaging portion and the second engaging portion engage with the tube connector by clamping the tube connector therebetween. The fastener fixes the proximal portion of the first arm and the proximal portion of the second arm to a base while biasing the first arm and the second arm toward each other.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR MAKING A BRACKET AND TUBING ASSEMBLY

Invention relates to a manufacturing process for making a bracket and subset assembly, process including: step (a) of placing bracket within a forming tool and putting between first portion of said bracket and second portion of said bracket a subset having a tube element and an elastic pad, step (b) of actuating the forming tool for plastically deforming the bracket so the first and second portions of the bracket come closer one to the other and press subset, thus gripping subset between the first and second portions of bracket, and during the step of actuating the forming tool for plastically deforming bracket, step (c) of using a propping spacer, distinct from the subset, for stopping the second portion of the bracket at a predetermined clamping distance from the first portion of the bracket, to secure the subset without crushing it.
