ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE MITIGATION TUBING
20220221086 · 2022-07-14 ·

An electrostatic discharge tubing segment includes a porous non-conductive interior surface and an adjacent conductive polymer portion. The conductive polymer portion is configured to transfer electrostatic charge generated by a charged fluid passing through the tubing segment to ground such that electrostatic discharge can be mitigated.

Liner for insulating high temperature process piping against thermal fatigue failure

Provided herein is a liner that can be loosely inserted in process pipe to form a lined pipe and to decrease the rate of heat transfer between process fluids flowing through the liner and the process pipe. The liner provided herein can reduce applied thermal loading on the outer pipe resulting from, for example, turbulent mixing between fluids having different temperatures (with or without stratification), circumferential thermal gradients, and/or longitudinal thermal gradients. An annulus between the process pipe and liner can be at least partially filled by process fluids, thereby creating a thermal buffer to further decrease the rate of heat transfer between the fluids and the process pipe.

PIPE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING AN ANCHOR MEMBER FOR RESISTING DELAMINATION OF A LINER FROM A PIPE SHELL
20220243857 · 2022-08-04 ·

A pipe assembly includes a pipe shell, a liner, and one or more anchor members. The pipe shell defines an inner wall. The liner lines the inner wall of the pipe shell and defines an inner wall of the pipe assembly. The anchor member is attached to the pipe shell, extends from the inner wall of the pipe shell, and is embedded within the liner. The anchor member may help to resist localized delamination of the liner from the pipe shell, and propagation of any localized delamination of the liner from the pipe shell. A related method is also provided for forming the pipe assembly.

A vacuum insulated structure including a tube having an outer wall, a jacket surrounding the tube to enclose an annular insulating space, the jacket having an end that terminates at the outer wall of the tube, a seal formed between the end of the jacket and the tube to preserve a vacuum within the insulating space, and a fitting affixed to one of the tube and the jacket for coupling the vacuum insulated structure to an external device. A method of making a vacuum insulated structure including forming a tube and a jacket, positioning the jacket over the tube to form an annular insulating space, with an end of the jacket being positioned adjacent to an outer wall of the tube to form a vent, causing air to escape through the vent, sealing the vent, and affixing a fitting to one of the tube and the jacket.

EASY PULL ELECTRICAL CONDUIT

An easy pull conduit for receipt of wire and/or wire bundles reduces the resistance to pulling wire and/or wire bundles. The conduit has an inner surface and a boron nitride coating applied to the inner surface. An aluminum EMT conduit having the boron nitride coating exhibits a 55 percent reduction in pull force compared to a bare aluminum conduit. A method for reducing the pull force required to pull wire and/or wire bundles through a conduit is also disclosed.
