PIPE CONNECTING ASSEMBLY
20230167925 · 2023-06-01 ·

A pipe connecting assembly includes a valve body, a valve stem and a fitting pipe part. The valve body includes a first valve body part and a second valve body part. The valve body has a valve cavity. The first valve body part has a first cavity, and the second valve body part has a second cavity. The valve stem is at least partially located in the valve cavity. The valve body is provided with a valve port. The valve stem can move in the valve cavity to close or open the valve port, so that the first cavity is separated from or in communication with the second cavity. The pipe connecting assembly further includes an adhesive layer located between the fitting pipe part and the first valve body part. Such a structure is beneficial to improving the connection reliability of the pipe connecting assembly.

TUBULAR ELEMENTS WITH ADHESIVE JOINT, METHOD OF JOINING TUBULAR ELEMENTS THEREOF
20220057025 · 2022-02-24 ·

Apparatus and method for joining two tubular elements (14, 22) at a joint using an adhesive that is non-flowable at ambient temperatures but flowable at an elevated temperature. A ring (12) of uncured, non-flowable adhesive is placed around the male end of a male (14)/female (22) pipe interface. Upon exposure to elevated temperatures, the ring (12) melts and flows down into the interface, and cures.

FLUID APPLICATOR TOOL AND METHOD OF APPLYING FLUID TO A TUBULAR MEMBER

A fluid applicator tool that includes an applicator portion including a pair of arcuate clamping members that each include an inner radial portion and an outer radial portion, an absorbent media extending along the inner radial portion of each arcuate clamping member, and a hinge coupled between the pair of arcuate clamping members. The hinge is operable for rotating the pair of arcuate clamping members relative to each other for positioning between an open position and a closed position. The pair of arcuate clamping members are oriented such that a through hole is defined therebetween when in the closed position.

Tamper Resistant Coupling Collar

A tamper-resistant coupling collar is provided. The tamper-resistant coupling collar may be configured to couple an air pulse generating unit to the coupler of a container that contains a liquid to be mixed by introducing an air pulse from the air pulse generating unit. The collar may include a flange portion and body portion, and the flange portion may include a plurality of holes configured to receive fasteners to couple the collar to the air pulse generating unit.

Method of installing fuel lines in an aircraft

A fuel line assembly for an aircraft comprises a ferrule assembly comprising a ferrule affixed to an isolation tube, which may be directly affixed to a fuel tube or affixed to an extension tube, which in turn, is affixed to the fuel tube. The ferrule assembly provides electrostatic discharge protection and lightning protection as the isolation tube maintains a separation distance from the ferrule and fuel tube, both of which are made from metal. The isolation tube is made from a dielectric material, but which may have conductive particles added to aid in the dissipation of an electrostatic charge. The electrical resistance through the isolation tube has a lower limit to arrest the flow of the induced lightning current through the assembly. The amount of lightning protection afforded can be configured. The ferrule assembly components may be affixed by using thermo-welding, adhesive, or mechanical pressure.

Potted pipe fitting systems and methods

Techniques for implementing a pipeline system including a pipe segment and a potted pipe fitting. The pipe segment includes tubing having an internal pressure sheath layer, a reinforcement strip, and an outer sheath layer. The potted pipe fitting includes an outer fitting body disposed around a portion of the reinforcement strip, an inner fitting body disposed between the portion of the reinforcement strip and the internal pressure sheath layer, in which the inner fitting body directly abuts the internal pressure sheath layer at least up to a point where the reinforcement strip begins to flare away from the internal pressure sheath layer and a potting cavity of the potted pipe fitting is defined at least between an inner surface of the outer fitting body and an outer surface of the inner fitting body, and cured potting material implemented around the portion of the reinforcement strip in the potting cavity.

A connection between at least two joining partners includes an interlying joining gap, with opposite joining surfaces. At least one of the joining surfaces is wetted with an adhesive layer having incorporated and/or attached solids particles, and the remaining joining gap is filled with an inorganic and/or organic filler material.

Fluid handling assembly having a multilayered composite pipe employing a mechanical coupling and method of assembling the fluid handling assembly

A fluid handling assembly includes a first pipe. The first pipe includes an inner layer made of a CPVC composition, an intermediate layer made of a metal at least partially surrounding the inner layer, and an outer layer made of a CPVC composition at least partially surrounding the intermediate layer. A first tubular coupling bushing has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is coupled to the first pipe. The second portion has an engaging portion that is configured to engage to a mechanical fixture that sealingly engages the first pipe and a second pipe. A method of making the fluid handling assembly is also disclosed.

Curved duct, and method and machine for producing it
11207820 · 2021-12-28 · ·

A duct that, in cross section, has one or more rounded portions is disclosed together with a method and a machine for producing it. The duct can be made from rigid foam panels with a facing on at east one side of the panels. A crimping element is used to form several substantially parallel indentations or crimps on a faced side of a panel, without breaching the facing, so that the crimped panel can be manipulated to form a section of duct with the crimps extending longitudinally. Depending on the number of crimps, the duct will appear more or less round in cross section although the crimped foam panels can be manipulated to have cross sections of different shapes such as oval. Adjacent duct sections may be joined, for example, with tape or bands, several of which are described.
