Connecting system and method for connecting fluid-conducting components
A connecting system connects two fluid-conducting components, such as first and second tubes, or a tube and a connecting part, or first and second pipes. The connecting system includes: a flange of a first component set back from a free end region of the first component; a flange of a second component formed at or behind a free end region of the second component; a securing device that engages a sleeve arranged at the second component so as to axially secure and align the first and second components with respect to one another; and a jacket that at least regionally covers the first component, the second component, and the securing device.

COMPOSITE TO METAL JOINT AND METHOD FOR FORMING SAME
A composite pipe to metal fitting joint including a shell formed with a conical cavity receiving a tapered end of a composite tube for bonded therein. The method includes selecting the metal fitting of a composite tube and bonding together.
RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR
A reciprocating compressor is provided. The reciprocating compressor may include a discharge hose configured to discharge a refrigerant compressed in a cylinder, a connector coupled to the discharge hose and provided inside of the discharge pipe, and a hose fixing member provided on an outer circumferential surface of the discharge hose and configured to support the discharge hose, thereby stably coupling the discharge hose with the discharge pipe.
High Pressure Connection Systems and Methods for their Manufacture
A high pressure connection and method for making a high pressure connection. The method includes applying a primer composition to one distal joint portion, applying an anaerobically curable composition to the other distal joint portion; sliding one distal joint portion into the other distal joint portion and curing the anaerobic composition to maintain the second distal joint portion within the first distal joint portion thereby forming the high pressure connection. The method does not use plastic deformation of the first or second distal joint portions after the step of sliding. The method is advantageously useful for making high pressure connections in gas compression or refrigeration systems.
A Strip Assembly Helically Windable to Form a Pipe
A strip assembly helically windable to form a pipe is disclosed. The strip assembly includes a pair of joined elongate strips, each strip having a strip width and a strip height and each strip including: a base; at least one longitudinal rib upstanding from the base; a pair of spaced apart longitudinal parallel edges; and an angled joining end surface. Each joining end surface has a joining width, the joining width at least 5% greater than the strip width. Also each joining end surface has a joining height, the joining height at least 10% greater than the strip height. The additional joint area provided by the angled joining end surfaces provides a significantly stronger joint.
T-housing for septic tank
The bottom annular end of a vertical collar that extends into the vertical tubular portion of a T-housing and is fastened therein by resilient fingers extending radially outward from the collar, is contacted by a resilient finger of a filter inserted through the collar into the tubular portion, a radially inward extending shoulder in the collar is contacted by the bottom of an annular horizontal plate on the filter, and a liquid level alarm system housing is attached to the outer surface of the vertical tubular portion by a plurality of vertically spaced apart catches or studs received in slots on the alarm system housing, a tapered pipe having a first end fastened to a horizontal exit joint on the T-housing and a second tapered end force fit into an exit pipe of a septic tank.

Enhancing Bond Strength Of Medical Devices
Components of medical devices include polypropylene-poly(ethylene oxide) amphiphilic graft copolymers (PP-g-PEO) in their base polymer formulations. The base polymeric formulations comprise at least a polymer or co-polymer of propylene. These components are suitable for solvent-bonding with other components and enhance bond strength of the medical devices.
Composite tube
A composite tube comprises a first tube section 100 and a second tube section, at least one of which is of fiber reinforced composite form, a mating interface being provided on each of the first and second tube sections, each of the respective mating interfaces having an interfering portion to create an interference fit between the first and second tube sections when the composite tube is assembled, each of the mating interfaces being configured with a recess the recesses being alignable with one another, during assembly, to define a combined recess when the composite tube is assembled, into which a hardened settable compound can be disposed during assembly to form an internal locking element that assists the interference fit by mechanically securing together the first and second tube sections.
