A coupler for connecting to a tube (e.g., a siphon tube), a fire extinguisher incorporating the same, and a method for connecting a coupler to a tube are provided. The coupler includes a body defining a radially outward facing surface, a radially inward facing surface, a proximal end, and a distal end. The coupler includes a foldable section disposed at the proximal end. The foldable section including an unfolded position defining an unfolded internal diameter and a folded position defining a folded internal diameter. The foldable section is configured to receive a proximal end of the tube in the unfolded position. The foldable section is configured to secure to the circumferential groove in the folded position.

Sealing sleeve for pipe offsets
11306851 · 2022-04-19 · ·

A sealing inner sleeve for inserting into pipes, includes two frustoconical or substantially cylindrically bent-round sleeves formed of steel sheets, wherein the free ends of the steel sheets of the sleeves overlap in their circumferential directions and an arresting device is arranged in each of these overlapping regions and wherein the two sleeves are arranged at a distance from one another in a deformable jacket tube.

Pipe connection

A pipe connection includes at least one end of a plastic pipe or a metal plastic composite pipe and one connecting element with at least one support body provided with circumferential ribs, onto which the end of the pipe is slid. For the expansion ratio R(exp) of the pipe connection, the following applies:
0.05<R(exp)=[D(max)/D(internal)]−1<0.35
wherein D(max) stands for the maximum external diameter of the circumferential ribs and D(internal) for the internal diameter of the pipe.

Connecting element and pipe connection comprising the same

A connecting element produces a pipe connection between the connecting element and a plastic pipe or a metal-plastic composite pipe by using axial pressing technology. The connecting element has at least one support body provided with circumferential external ribs for press-fitting an expanded end of the pipe onto, and includes at least one circumferential collar, wherein the connecting element between the circumferential collar and the nearest circumferential external rib to the circumferential collar includes a pre-stop for limiting the sliding onto of the expanded end of the pipe. The distance between the edge of the pre-stop facing the circumferential external ribs and the edge of the circumferential collar facing the pre-stop is 0.10 times to 0.30 times the length of the support body. A pipe connection between an expanded end of an all-plastic pipe or of a plastic composite pipe and a connecting element includes an expanded end of an all-plastic pipe or of a plastic composite pipe; and the above-described connecting element.

FEMALE ISO FLARE UNION WITH INTEGRATED MATING BRAKE ISO F FLARE PORT
20230296195 · 2023-09-21 ·

A brake union for providing a secure and leak free connection between first and second fluid carrying lines inserted into a female union body having a first and second open ends. Each of the fluid carrying lines exhibits an expanded, typically flared, end form which, upon inserting through the female body, seat against one another. A mating flare nut coaxially surrounds one of the fluid carrying lines and includes exterior threads which inter-engage interior threads of the female body, with tightening to establish a fluid-tight connection between the opposing end forms.

Swage machine modular grab adapter systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or deploying a swage machine, which includes a die plate that enables a die to be used to conformally deform a pipe fitting around pipe segment tubing to be loaded in the swage machine, a grab plate having grab plate sections that are pivotably connected, and grab adapter sections. Each grab adapter sections includes a base sub-section connected to a corresponding grab plate section, in which an inner surface of the base sub-section includes an alignment notch, and a modular sub-section to be secured to the base sub-section, in which an outer surface of the modular sub-section includes an alignment tab to be disposed within the alignment notch in the base sub-section and an inner surface of the modular sub-section includes a grab tab section that matingly interlocks with a fitting grab notch on the pipe fitting to facilitate securing the swage machine to the pipe fitting.

Tube fitting and tube fitting structure

Provided are a mechanical tube fitting for preventing bending fracture of a tube member to be joined when subjected to bending deformation, and a simple tube fitting structure including that tube fitting. In the tube fitting, a clearance between a tube member (32) to be joined and an outer pipe (12) or an inner pipe (14) which is coaxially inserted in the outer pipe (12) and gives a space between its outer surface and the inner surface of the outer pipe (12), in which space the tube member (32) is inserted, is sealed with a sealing member disposed between the outer pipe (12) and the inner pipe (14), and the above-mentioned components are fixed by caulking. The outer pipe (12) is configured to extend outwardly in its axial direction than the ends of the inner pipe (14).

ELEMENT JOINT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

The element joint is obtained by joining: a long pipe; a short pipe made of a quality of material having a strength equal to or higher than a strength of the long pipe; and a plate material made of a quality of material having a strength equal to or higher than a strength of the short pipe. In the element joint, at least one member of the long pipe and the short pipe includes a pipe-shaped portion, and the pipe-shaped portion of the one member is pipe-expanded and joined to the other member by press-fitting. The short pipe and the plate material are welded to each other.
