Key Thread and Key Thread Systems
Key threaded articles and systems that include key threads having a female lock and male key on a two-dimensional plane and in which the female lock envelops the male key when fully engaged and has a shape that creates lateral resistance to separation from the male key when the female lock fully engages the male key.
Non-continuously rotatable and removable ferrule for duct fitting
A fitting assembly for connection to a flexible duct includes a ferrule configured for insertion into an open end of the flexible duct a fitting removably connected to the ferrule. The ferrule includes a sidewall defining a minor diameter and a major diameter spaced apart from the minor diameter, and a ferrule thread extending radially outward from the sidewall. One of the fitting and the ferrule defines a recess. Another of the fitting and the ferrule comprises a tab configured to extend into the recess. One of the recess and the tab comprises an edge. Another of the recess and the tab comprises a ramped surface extending in a circumferential direction of the ferrule, such that rotation of the ferrule relative to the fitting causes the ramped surface to engage the edge, thereby radially deflecting the tab and disengaging the tab from the recess.
Threaded connection for pipes or tubes and method for producing the threaded connection for pipes or tubes
This invention provides a threaded connection for pipes or tubes having high over-torque performance, and a method for producing the threaded connection for pipes or tubes. A threaded connection for pipes or tubes according to the present embodiment includes a pin and a box. The pin and the box include a contact surface including a threaded portion and a metal contact portion. The threaded connection for pipes or tubes includes a solid lubricant coating layer on at least one of the contact surfaces of the pin and the box, the solid lubricant coating layer including a resin, a solid lubricant powder, and Cr.sub.2O.sub.3.
System and method for anti-rotation between tubulars
A system for blocking rotation between a first tubular and a second tubular includes a key positioned within a recess formed in the first tubular. The system also includes a retention fastener securing the key to the first tubular, the retention fastener being arranged within an elongated aperture extending through the key. The system further includes an installation fastener moving the key from a storage configuration when in a first position to an engaged configuration when in a second position, the installation fastener having a tapered face that engages at least a portion of the key. The system also includes teeth arranged along a bottom portion of the key, proximate the second tubular, the teeth engaging the second tubular via rotation of the key about the retention fastener and blocking rotation of the first tubular relative to the second tubular in a first direction.
Swivel coupling
A watering nozzle including a handle configured to be grasped by a user, an inlet connector including a flange rigidly coupled to the handle, and an inlet engagement feature, a swivel coupling including a garden hose thread and a swivel shoulder adjacent a swivel opening arranged concentrically about a central axis, the swivel coupling rotatable relative to the handle about the central axis, and an insert shank including a swivel seal in sealed contact with the swivel coupling, a first shank shoulder in contact with the swivel shoulder, and a shank engagement feature in rigid engagement with the inlet engagement feature.
Threaded joint for steel pipes
The threaded joint includes a pin and a box. The pin includes a taper male thread part, and the box includes a taper female thread part to be engaged with the taper male thread part. The male thread part is divided into a first region on the free end side of the pin, and a second region on the tubular side of the pin along a tube axis direction. The taper ratio of the first region is greater than the taper ratio of the second region. The taper ratio of the first region is greater than the taper ratio of the female thread part. The taper ratio of the second region is equal to or greater than the taper ratio of the female thread part.
UNDERGROUND DRAIN TUBE SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION OF DRAIN TUBE SYSTEMS
Provided are methods and systems for draining underground soil moisture and water at a site. The methods and systems utilize a secured pipe system having a leading edge to drill the system into the earth, and perforations along portions of the surface of the system to receive accumulated water from underground and deliver it to the surface. A pipe cradle guide as provided is useful in the installation of the system. To also inject soil stabilizing materials (a mixture of sand and gel) into the earth using the secured pipe system, a removable canister is coupled to the distal end of the pipe system, and using water pressure the soil stabilizing materials are delivered to the soil by means of the secured pipe system.
Coupling
A non-frustoconical coupling provides a mechanical connection used in fluid transport for hydrocarbon recovery operations.
Expandable metal for junction locking and junction sealant applications
Provided is a junction, a method for forming a junction, and a well system including a junction. The junction, in one aspect, includes a first threaded member, the first member formed of a first material, and a second threaded member threaded with the first threaded member, the second threaded member formed of a second material. In one or more aspects, the first and second threaded members define an overlapping space. In one or more other aspects, an expandable metal joint is located in at least a portion of the overlapping space, the expandable metal joint comprising a metal configured to expand in response to hydrolysis.
DIRECTLY CONNECTED DRILL PIPE APPLICABLE TO EXTREME CONDITIONS
A directly connected drill pipe applicable to extreme conditions includes a tool joint pin and a tool joint box, where an external pipe section is located on an external side of a threaded section of the tool joint pin, and an annular groove is formed between the external pipe section and the threaded section of the tool joint pin. An insertion section of the tool joint box can be inserted into the annular groove in a matched manner. A main shoulder of the tool joint pin is located at an end of the external pipe section, a main auxiliary shoulder of the tool joint pin is located on a bottom surface of the annular groove, and an auxiliary shoulder of the tool joint pin is located at a small end of the tool joint pin. The tool joint box has three corresponding shoulders which form a 3-stage sealing with the tool joint pin.
