The external pin thread and internal box thread are configured for connection with each other such that when connected the pin body and the box body are aligned longitudinally. The box thread has a box base in contact with the box body and the pin thread having a pin base in contact with the pin body and the pin base is wider than said box base. In a preferred embodiment, the area wherein the box base is in contact with the box body defines the box contact area and the area wherein the pin base is in contact with the pin body defines the pin contact area and the pin contact area and said box contact area are generally the same.
HOSE CONNECTOR
A faucet connector has a first tubular body is provided with an assembly aperture, and the first tubular body is convexly disposed on the inner wall of the assembly aperture. A second tubular body is formed with an inserting portion at one end, and the inserting portion is penetrated by an inner threaded aperture. The second tubular body is disposed at the assembly aperture. A third tubular body is formed with a ring at one end, the third tubular body has a threaded portion at the other end, and the third tubular body is placed at the first tubular body inside the assembly aperture of the tubular body. The threaded portion of the third tubular body is locked to the inner threaded hole of the second tubular body, so that the ring fits the inserting portion at both ends of the lip.
Ultrahigh pressure fitting with recessed sealing surface and related technology
A waterjet system in accordance with at least some embodiments of the present technology includes a tube configured to carry ultrahigh pressure liquid, and a fitting connected to an end portion of the tube. The fitting includes a body and a clamping block that secures the tube to the body. The body includes a recess, a passage extending inwardly from the recess, a sealing surface extending around the passage, and a sidewall extending around the sealing surface. The sealing surface meets the sidewall at an annular corner within the recess. The clamping block includes first, second, and third through holes spaced apart from one another. The tube extends through the first through hole and is secured to the clamping block via a threaded connection. First and second clamping bolts extend through the first and second through holes, respectively, and into respective threaded openings in the body.
Heated respiratory hose assembly
An undermold coupling to couple a hose to a hose fitting includes: a tubular portion to be inserted into a hose interface of the hose fitting; threads formed on an inner surface of the tubular portion to engage a support helix on an end of the hose as a set of threads; and a first grating comprising a first plurality of elongate portions to intermesh with a corresponding second plurality of elongate portions of a second grating of the hose interface, wherein the first plurality of elongate portions extend into a second plurality of slots defined by the second plurality of elongate portions, and the second plurality of elongate portions extend into a first plurality of slots defined by the first plurality of elongate portions.
HOSE FITTING WITH FREEZE PROTECTION VALVE AND METHOD
A flow-regulating device is able to automatically prevent freezing of water within conduits. The flow-regulating device includes a water-tight manifold, a normally-closed flow-valve, a solenoid able to open the flow-valve, a thermal-sensor, and an electronic circuit. The manifold has a threaded hose-outlet, a drain-outlet, and an inlet. The flow-valve enables fluid to flow between the inlet and the drain-outlet when opened by the solenoid. The thermal-sensor produces a temperature-signal corresponding to an exterior-temperature and transmits the temperature-signal to the electronic circuit. The electronic-circuit produces a flow-signal based upon the temperature-signal when the temperature-signal drops below a temperature-threshold, and transmits the flow-signal to the solenoid, thereby opening the flow-valve when the exterior-temperature drops below a predetermined threshold. In this way, the system can be configured to automatically enable fluid flow through the device and associated conduit when the exterior-temperature drops below freezing, reducing the likelihood of pipes freezing during the winter.
Threaded Connection for Pipe and Method for Producing Threaded Connection for Pipe
A threaded connection for pipe includes a pin and a box. The threaded connection for pipe includes a ZnNi alloy plated layer and a solid lubricant coating. The ZnNi alloy plated layer is formed on a contact surface of at least one of the pin and the box and contains 10 to 16 mass % of Ni. The solid lubricant coating is formed on the ZnNi alloy plated layer. The contact surface on which the ZnNi alloy plated layer is formed is ground. Now define arithmetic average roughness of the surface of the ZnNi alloy plated layer as Ra1, and arithmetic average roughness of the contact surface as Ra2. Ra1 ranges from 0.1 to 3.2 m. Ra1 is more than Ra2.
Flared exhaust gas pressure tube having keyed washer
An exhaust gas pressure tube assembly and a method for making the tube are disclosed. The assembly includes a keyed washer having a concave conical opening and an exhaust gas pressure tube having an open end for attachment to the boss. The assembly method includes positioning the washer adjacent the boss attachment open end of the pressure tube such that the concave conical opening of the washer faces the open end. A tool is positioned against a washer side and a mandrel having a conical outer surface is then inserted into the open end, causing the open end to be flared against the opening of the washer. The surface of the concave conical opening of the washer may be either smooth or knurled. If the surface is smooth, the mandrel is retained in its flaring position and a brazing or similar procedure to form a strong and gas-tight seal.
COUPLING ARRANGEMENT

In some examples, the second part includes a radial flange for momentarily engaging with a safety catch arrangement of the first part when the second part is decoupled from the first part and a fluid pressure within the first internal passageway exceeds a predetermined threshold. In some examples, the second part defines an external groove for accepting ball bearings of the first part, wherein the external groove has a semi-circular shape. In some examples, the first part defines a vent passageway extending from the internal passageway, through a sidewall of a main body part of the first part, and through an interstitial space defined between the sidewall and a sleeve member of the first part. In some examples, the first part includes ball bearings formed from a polymeric material.
