SEAL RING AND HOSE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a seal ring having a central axis and comprising an elastic ring member made of elastic material and comprising an annular body portion and a flange surrounding the annular body portion, wherein the thickness of the flange is smaller than the thickness of the annular body portion as measured in axial direction of the seal ring. The invention also relates to a hose connector assembly implementing the aforementioned seal ring.
DIELECTRIC UNION BALL VALVE
A dielectric union ball valve utilizes a non-conductive separation sleeve to prevent contact between the union and the nut of a dielectric valve assembly. The valve assembly can optionally include an independently operated drain valve port to permit draining of the valve assembly. The use and positioning of a non-conductive separation sleeve mitigates potential galvanic reaction between dissimilar pipes and/or fittings that are connected to the valve assembly.
THREADED CONNECTION
In a threaded connection of a two-step thread construction including intermediate shoulder surfaces, a break is prevented near the intermediate critical cross sections upon application of a tensile load, and the intermediate shoulder surfaces are easier to create, thus improving productivity. The outer periphery portion of a pin located between an intermediate shoulder surface of the pin and a second male thread is provided with a circumferential groove including a curved surface smoothly contiguous to the intermediate shoulder surface, thereby mitigating plastic strains generated near the pin intermediate critical cross section PICCS. The inner periphery portion of a box located between an intermediate shoulder surface of the box and a first female thread is provided with a circumferential groove including a curved surface smoothly contiguous to the intermediate shoulder surface, thereby mitigating plastic strains generated near a box intermediate critical cross section BICCS.
Threaded connection for steel pipes
A threaded connection for steel pipes having improved sealing performance is provided. A threaded connection (10) for steel pipes includes a pin (10) and a box (20). The pin (10) includes a nose (11), a pin shoulder surface (12), a pin sealing surface (13) and a male thread (14). The box (20) includes a box shoulder surface (22), a box sealing surface (23) and a female thread (24). When the position of the portion of the pin sealing surface (13) that first contacts the inner periphery of the box (20) during make-up defines a seal position (P), the distance between the seal position (P) and the end of the male thread (14) adjacent to the pin sealing surface (13) as measured in the pipe-axis direction is denoted by x, and the distance between the tip of the pin (10) and the end of the male thread (14) adjacent to the pin sealing surface (13) as measured in the pipe-axis direction is denoted by L, then, x/L is not smaller than 0.4 and not larger than 0.55.
Pipe sealing compound/adjunct lubricant
The present invention describes a pipe sealing compound/adjunct lubricant used to prevent gas or liquid leaks when applied to pipe threads and other connections of the same. The compound relies on silicone oil lubricant(s) and one or more friction modifier(s), viscosity builder(s) and filler material(s). The compound contains a viscoelastic liquid that does not have a curing phase and is resistant to hardening and/or drying. The compound is chemically resistant to a wide variety of liquids and gases, is food safe and can withstand extreme high or low temperatures and precipitous temperature fluctuations. The compound has been found to exhibit an inverse pressure to leak rate phenomena.

Threaded joint for production tubing
A threaded joint for production of tubing includes a male element and female elements, having outer surface and inner surfaces, respectively, whose ends are configured with a trapezoidal tapered thread and with sealing surfaces, auxiliary surfaces and abutting end surfaces, which form an inner sealing assembly. The threads have characteristics described in the present disclosure. Auxiliary surfaces are provided between the sealing surfaces and the abutting end surfaces. The junction between the sealing surfaces and the auxiliary surfaces is configured in the form of a concave spherical surface on the male element and a convex spherical surface on the female element. This provides for the formation of a tight joint under high mechanical loads by virtue of improved coupling characteristics and the prevention of damage to the surfaces.
