Threaded joint for oil country tubular goods
A threaded joint includes: a pin having an annular outer peripheral surface portion formed on a tip end side of a steel pipe, and an externally-threaded portion formed from the annular outer peripheral surface portion toward a center of a steel pipe in an axial direction of the steel pipe; and a box having a cavity in which the pin is housed, wherein an internally-threaded portion which threadedly engages with the externally-threaded portion and an annular inner peripheral surface portion which is brought into contact with and abuts against the annular outer peripheral surface portion are formed in the cavity, wherein the pin and the box are joined to each other due to threaded engagement between the externally-threaded portion and the internally-threaded portion.
THREADED JOINT FOR STEEL PIPES
A threaded joint is constructed of a pin and a box, the box having an outside diameter less than 104% of an outside diameter of a tubular body having the pin. The box includes, in order from an end of the box toward the tubular body: a lip portion and a female threaded portion, the lip portion including a shoulder surface and a sealing surface. The pin includes a shoulder surface, a sealing surface, and a male threaded portion. The lip portion of the box has a nose portion disposed between the shoulder surface and the sealing surface and an annular portion disposed between the sealing surface and the female threaded portion. The nose portion and the annular portion are not in contact with the pin, and a length of the annular portion is longer than a thread pitch of the female threaded portion.
UNIVERSAL ADAPTER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE UNIVERSAL ADAPTER
In accordance with an embodiment, a universal adapter configured for use in a fluid delivery apparatus and an annular shaped member having a first end and a second end, an outer wall, a first opening at the first end, a second opening at a second end, and a duct extending from the first opening to the second opening. Grooves are formed in portions of the outer wall, an internal thread is formed in the duct, and a groove is formed in another portion of the duct. In accordance with another embodiment, method for manufacturing a universal adapter includes forming an annular shaped member having a first end and a second end, an outer wall, a first opening at the first end, a second opening at a second end, and a duct extending from the first opening to the second opening. A mating structure is formed from the outer wall and threads and a groove are formed in the duct.

Fitting with Removable Dip Tube
A weldless thru wall fitting that provides a leak free connection to a vessel that can easily be installed and removed. The fitting also provides an integrated, removable, and repositionable dip tube to allow the liquid stored in the vessel to the drained via gravity to a level below the entry point of the fitting.

Lubricant film-forming composition and screw joint for steel pipe
A lubricant film-forming composition includes as a composition: 40 to 80 mass % of a base oil consisting of one or more selected from pentaerythritol fatty acid ester and trimethylolpropane fatty acid ester; 5 to 20 mass % of a solidifying agent consisting of paraffin wax; and 10 to 40 mass % of a solid lubricant consisting of one or more selected from alkali metal salt of hydroxystearic acid and alkali earth metal salt of hydroxystearic acid. A total content of the base oil, the solidifying agent, and the solid lubricant is 85 mass % or more and 100 mass % or less, and the lubricant film-forming composition does not contain heavy metals.
Seal apparatus
A seal apparatus provides sufficient sealing and is compact and inexpensive. The seal apparatus includes a thread part screwed to the screw fastening part of a hollow component; a seal part that moves along an axis of the screw part and comes into pressure contact with the screw fastening part of the hollow component; a stopper part fixed to the screw part that restricts the movement of the seal part; a pressed part that moves the seal part into pressure contact with the screw fastening part; a spring disposed between the pressed part and the stopper part; and an accumulator formed between the stopper part and the seal part and into which a test fluid which is introduced into the hollow component for inspection flows.
Threaded connection
A threaded connection connecting a pair of pipes includes a pin and a box. The pin has a male thread on its outer diameter. The box has a female thread on its inner diameter, the female thread corresponding to the male thread. The male thread includes constant-thread-width and varying-thread-width portions. The constant-thread-width portion has a constant thread-groove width. The varying-thread-width portion has a thread-groove width equal to or larger than the groove width of the constant-thread-width portion and gradually increasing, from the constant-thread-width portion toward the tip of the pin. The female thread includes constant-thread-width and varying-thread-width portions. The constant-thread-width portion has a constant thread-ridge width. The varying-thread-width portion has a thread-ridge width equal to or larger than the thread-ridge width of the constant-thread-width portion and gradually increasing from the constant-thread-width portion toward the center of the box.
A CONNECTION AND PROTECTIVE RING THEREFOR
Disclosed is a connection comprising first and second lined tubular members having a coincident bore and a protective ring. The first lined tubular member has a pin end and the second lined tubular member has a box end. Each lined tubular member includes a tubular body, an annular liner, and a mortar filled annulus therebetween. The mortar filled annulus has an annular recess therein at at least one of the pin end and box end for receiving a part of the protective ring. The part received may be a flange on the ring.
