Cooling and insulating manifold seal assembly for a propulsion system

A seal assembly for a propulsion system couples a plurality of manifolds of a manifold assembly of the propulsion system generally in fluid communication. Each of the manifolds defines a first end and a second end. The seal assembly includes a coupling member attaching the first end and the second end of the manifold assembly together in fluid communication; one or more seals disposed between the coupling member and at least one of the first end and the second end of the manifold; and a retainer adjacent to the coupling member and the seal. The retainer defines a radial wall and an axial wall, in which the radial wall is extended generally from one or more of the first end and the second end of the manifold alongside the coupling member and the seal, and the axial wall is extended generally from the radial wall alongside the coupling member and the seal.

Joint for submarine connections

The present invention concerns a rotatable coupling (60) for connecting pipes, comprising a first hollow female element (61) suited to be connected, for example, to a first pipe portion (51), and a second tubular male element (6) with a first end portion at least partially housed inside the first female element (61) so as to define an inner space for the passage of a fluid, and with a second end portion suited to be connected to a second pipe portion (52). Said first and said second element (61, 6) can be rotated with respect to each other, said second tubular male element (6) comprising a first abutment surface (6S). Furthermore, the rotatable coupling (60) comprises a third hollow tubular element (12) housed inside the first female element and provided with a second abutment surface (1S) substantially opposite the first abutment surface (6S) so as to define a first interspace (I), and the third tubular hollow element (12) can be translated along a direction substantially orthogonal to the first and the second abutment surface (6S, 1S) between a closed configuration, in which the first and the second abutment surface (6S, 1S) are positioned at a minimal mutual distance, and an open configuration, in which the first and the second abutment surface (6S, 1S) are positioned at a distance that exceeds said minimal mutual distance.

One-touch pipe connection device

A one-touch pipe connection device includes a socket main body portion including a plurality of pipe fitting portions in each of which a pipe is inserted; a sealing portion that provides sealing between the socket main body portion and the pipe; and a cap portion having a through hole through which the pipe is inserted into the pipe fitting portion and configured to be coupled to the pipe fitting portion by rotation while moving towards the pipe fitting portion such that the sealing portion is pressed and deformed to closely contact the pipe.

A plug for sealing a pipe element has a cylindrical body with a circumferential groove which receives seals. The plug fits within the pipe element and is secured and sealed by a deformation formed in the pipe element by a circumferential groove. The deformation mechanically engages the grooves in the body of the adapter and the plug.

The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to an apparatus for releasably sealing a pipe. Particularly, the apparatus comprises a bar that includes an interior, an exterior, a first end that includes external threads, and a second end that includes a stop. The device further comprises a sleeve positioned over a portion of the bar, and a coupling comprising internal threads that couple to the bar external threads. The device includes a compressible gasket sandwiched between first and second adaptors. Advancement of the coupling over the bar external threads increases pressure on the sleeve, which compresses the gasket between the first and second adaptors.
