A CONNECTOR
A connector comprising a cylindrical sleeve device having a first part, with an external screwthread on its outer side, and a second part, with an internal screwthread on its inner side. One of the screwthreads engages a corresponding screwthread on a further part when the device is in use. At least a portion of the said second part is yieldable. A locking part is provided with a screwthread which engages the other of the screwthreads of the cylindrical sleeve device when the connector is in use. The said second part and the locking part have mutually engageable portions which, when the locking part is tightened relative to the cylindrical sleeve device, interengage to cause yielding of the second part or yieldable portion thereof. This effects locking of the cylindrical sleeve device with respect to such a further part when the connector is in use.
Self-locking plug
A compact, highly-reusable, self-locking includes a body component, a flexible beam finger component with a plurality of axially-oriented flexible beam fingers, a tab sleeve component including one or more downward extending tabs, an annular detent ring component including a plurality of detents in radial alignment with the plurality of flexible beam fingers, and a wave spring disposed between the tab sleeve component and the annular detent ring component for providing a biasing force to urge the tab sleeve component in a direction of a central, longitudinal axis of the self-locking plug. The flexible beam finger component moves relative to the annular detent ring component when the body component is rotated about the central, longitudinal axis, A, of the self-locking plug, thereby causing the plurality of flexible beam fingers to travel across the plurality of detents and cause elastic deformation of the flexible beam fingers.
SELF-LOCKING PLUG
A compact, highly-reusable, self-locking includes a body component, a flexible beam finger component with a plurality of axially-oriented flexible beam fingers and one or more outwardly extending tabs, an annular detent ring component including a plurality of detents in radial alignment with the plurality of flexible beam fingers, and a biasing component engaging the flange of the flexible beam finger component and the annular detent ring component for providing a biasing force to urge the flexible finger beam component in a direction of a central, longitudinal axis of the self-locking plug.
Nurse tank coupling with locking collar
An anhydrous ammonia nurse tank coupling had a locking collar for securing a flow nozzle to a nurse tank fitting. A nipple is threadingly secured to the fitting and has a hexagonal-shaped section. A nozzle coupling extends about said flow nozzle for threadingly securing to the flow nozzle to the nipple. The nozzle coupling and the nipple have acme threads which are secured together, with a seal element extending between the nipple and the flow nozzle. A locking collar slidably disposed on said nozzle coupling, for moving from a retracted position disposed aside of the hexagonal-shaped section of the nipple to an extended position disposed adjacent to the hexagonal-shaped section and non-rotatably securing the locking collar to the nipple. The locking collar is non-rotatably secured to the nozzle coupling in the extended position, and non-rotatably secures the nozzle coupling to the nipple when in the extended position.
Universal Connector
A connector system is provided for an apparatus intended to be walked on, swung on or jumped on in use. The connector system comprising a plurality of frame elements, each comprising an insertion portion, at least one protrusion, and frame element rotation reducing portions. Also provided is a plurality of first connector members, each configured to receive the insertion portion of at least one frame element into a channel therein. There are also a plurality of second connector members, each configured to mate with one first connector member, whereupon insertion of the insertion portion of at least one frame element into one first connector member, and mating of the one first connector member with one second connector member, the frame element cannot be removed from the first connector member due to the at least one protrusion of the frame element engaging with the second connector member; and the frame element is substantially unable to rotate in the first connector member due to the rotation reducing portions engaging with the channel of the first connector member.
hose crimp fitting or hydraulic adaptors that utilize a reverse threaded lock nut that engages to a JIC nut or similar swivel nut to prevent the nut from loosening
A tubular hose stem with a flange, a first left hand threaded section on the outer surface of the stem generally adjacent the flange, a first JIC/swivel nut over the flange having an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the flange, a second lock nut threadably engaged to the hose stem on a second left threaded section adjacent the JIC nut, a conical washer fixedly secured around the hose stem between the first and second threaded sections, an O-ring positioned adjacent the washer opposite the left side of the washer; and a ferrule having a first end fixedly threaded to the hose stem and having a second end larger in diameter than the stem. The lock nut may have knurled surfaces and the inner diameter of the ferrule and outer diameter of the stem may have circumferential raised ribs to engage hosing.
Locking pipe joint assembly, device and method
A locking pipe joint assembly, device and method can employ a center body connector, one or more sealing elements, such as a wiper seal and a sealing ring, a sealing ring retainer and a retaining cap. In various embodiments, primary and secondary fastening rings are employed along with a retaining cap sleeve. In embodiments, the retaining cap includes an internal or external thread that mates with an external or internal thread on one side of the center body connector, which allows the retaining cap to tighten the packing arrangement components around an inserted piping or tubing element, and in secure engagement with the interior of the center body connector. In embodiments, a bolt element is provided for further securing of the retaining cap to the center body connector.
High temperature remotely connected/disconnected pipe connector for molten salt reactors
A pipe connector for use in high temperature environments, such as those characteristics of molten salt reactors. The pipe connector can be used in any industry that uses pipe connectors, and in particular, can be used in a molten salt system including a reactor requiring a connection rated for a maximum of about 725 C. and about 15,000 psi. The pipe connector may comprise a pin, a seal ring, a retainer ring, a box, a locking nut, and a retaining nut.
Connector for piping
A connector is provided for piping which may prevent a cap nut part from being automatically loosened or locked due to external force, such as an external vibration, a bump, or a shock, that i not deliberately applied, before a connector product is used, and in addition, may prevent an O-ring from being separated from the inside of the connector due to pressing caused by erroneous assembly in a pipe fastening process. To this end, the connector for piping comprises: a body part of a pipe body; the cap nut part; a collet part; and an anti-loosening part which prevents the cap nut part from being loosened or locked due to external force that is not deliberately applied.
