System and method for connecting a first and second hose coupling, and a locking device

A system includes first and second hose couplings, each having a hose body, an enlarged section integrated with the hose body, and a connecting section that is mobile in relation to the hose body. An intermediate connector includes a central section, a first lateral section and a second lateral section. The first lateral section can fit into the first connecting section and the second lateral section can fit into the second connecting section. A locking device includes a body having a first locking section, a second locking section and a central locking section. The first locking section couples with the enlarged section of the first hose coupling, the second locking section couples with the enlarged section of the second hose coupling, and the central locking section couples with the central section of the connector.

Connector device

A connector device has male and female parts with respective coaxial passageways. An external screwthread of a collet engages an internal screwthread on the female part and relative rotation between those screwthreads causes engagement of the female and male parts. A slot in the collet extends longitudinally and is open at both ends to enable the collet to be splayed as a split collet. A wedge located between the male part and the collet is displaceable longitudinally to splay the collet and lock the male and female parts in a sealing engagement. The connector includes a ring surrounding the end of the collet remote from the engagement between the male and female parts to resist splaying of the collet at that end. The connector without the male and female parts may also be used for connecting other such male and female parts.

Fluid fitting

A fluid fitting includes a nut, a sleeve, and a union. The union and the nut may include corresponding stops. Corresponding stops may engage with each other when the nut is sufficiently connected with the union. A method of designing a fluid fitting including a union may include determining a gauge diameter of the union, determining a plane perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the union that includes a center point of the gauge diameter, determining a point of intersection of threads of the union with the perpendicular plane, and/or determining a position of a stop according to an angle from the point of intersection.

An anti-jet joint structure of a connection hose of a vehicle air compressor contains: an accommodation box, an adhesive supply can, and a connection hose. The accommodation box accommodates the vehicle air compressor started by a power to produce air. The adhesive supply can accommodates chemical adhesive for repairing a tire, and the adhesive supply can includes an open segment and a supply hose. The connection hose includes a first joint and a second joint opposite to the first joint. The first joint is engaged with the supply hose, and the second joint is screwed with a gas nozzle of the tire. The second joint is the anti-jet joint structure and has a first connection assembly and a second assembly. The first connection assembly is connected with or is removed from the second connection assembly having different interior structures and volumes so as to mate with various tires.

Fluid couplings, systems, and methods

A coupling includes a male adapter and a female adapter, and may include a nut and a sleeve. In embodiments, the male adapter includes a male adapter inner diameter, and may include threads. A method of operating a fluid coupling may include providing a first member, a second member, a nut, and a sleeve, connecting the sleeve with the nut such that rotation of the sleeve causes rotation of the nut, rotating the sleeve to connect the first member with the second member, engaging an inner ratchet profile of the sleeve with a ratchet profile of a shoulder of the first member, and covering the shoulder of the first member, including the ratchet profile, with the sleeve.

HAMMERLESS AND TORQUELESS UNION CONNECTION AND METHOD
20210317931 · 2021-10-14 ·

A system and method for creating a union connection that is hammerless and torque-less. In one embodiment, the union connection has a male pipe that is inserted into a collar. A plurality of ring segments of a segmented ring is inserted and housed in a groove between the inner surface of the collar and the outer surface of the male pipe. Then a female pipe is inserted into the collar as well. The female pipe engages with the male pipe, and is engaged with the collar. Lastly, a pin is inserted into a hole in the collar that is coaxial with a pocket located on the exterior surface of the female pipe.

The disclosed invention is a union connection common in connecting pipelines in various industries comprising a threaded female pipe end, a male pipe end insertable into the female pipe end to form a sealed connection, a plurality of shaped ring segments and a threaded collar in which the shaped ring segments are placed in a shaped groove on the male pipe and positioned in the threaded collar. The threaded female pipe end is then threaded onto the threaded collar, the threads each being clocked so as to press the collar against the male pipe using the ring segments and into a sealed connection with the female pipe. A pin inserted through a pin hole in the collar and into a pin recess in the female pipe end holds the parts in place. The pin hole and pin recess are positioned relative to the clocked threads of the collar and female pipe.
