SEPARABLE FLUID TRANSFER CONNECTOR
A connector for facilitating fluid transfer includes first fitting, a second fitting, a rigid conduit, a first retaining connector, and a second retaining connector. The rigid conduit includes a flexible tube surrounded by a deformable sleeve. The rigid conduit is connected on a first end to the first fitting and on a second end to the second fitting. The first retaining connector connects the first fitting to the rigid conduit and the second retaining connector connects the second fitting to the rigid conduit. A lumen extends through the rigid conduit and is capable of being sealed. The rigid conduit and the flexible tube are capable of being severed while maintaining the seal of the lumen to separate the first fitting from the second fitting. The connections of the first fitting and the second fitting to the rigid conduit are capable of withstanding at least 1 bar of pressure without leaking.
Resin-coated aluminum pipe connector for air conditioner outdoor unit
Provided herein is a resin-coated aluminum pipe connector for the outdoor unit of an air conditioner. The resin-coated aluminum pipe connector includes: a resin-coated refrigerant pipe made of aluminum, and configured such that an expanded portion is formed at one end thereof; a service valve including a connection port in which a first inclined surface is formed at an end of the connection port and a first screw portion is formed on the outer circumference of the connection port; a first compression ring configured such that an inclined surface is formed at one end of the inner circumference thereof and a first stop protrusion is formed at the other end of the inner circumference thereof; a second compression ring configured such that a second-first inclined surface is formed on the inside thereof and a receiving side wall extends upward from the second-first inclined surface; a sealing material; and a fastener.

Bushings and fittings, tubing assemblies, and methods incorporating the same
One aspect of the invention provides an elastomeric bushing including: a plurality of rigid members defining one or more internal annular ribs and one or more elastic members. The rigid members include: a first internal annular rib adapted and configured to engage a corrugation valley of corrugated tubing; and one or more trailing lips adapted and configured to extend through a central opening of a nut and engage said nut, thereby preventing axial movement of the bushing when a corrugated tubing is advancing through the bushing. The one or more elastic members are adapted and configured to: hold the plurality of rigid members in a substantially annular configuration; allow the plurality of rigid members to expand to allow a corrugation peak to pass under the first internal rib; and hold the plurality of rigid members against the corrugated tubing so that the first internal rib lies within a corrugation valley.
Tube with compression fitting and flared fitting used with connection body and method of making same
A high-pressure tube compression fitting/flared fitting for use in combination with a thick-walled tube and a connection body wherein a sleeve is in engagement with a thick-walled tube. The sleeve is generally cylindrically shaped with the exterior thereof coated and then etched. The sleeve includes a first and second sharp inner circumferential biting edges which interengage and bite into and through the exterior of the end portion of the thick-walled tube and into the wall portion of the end portion of the thick-walled tube without narrowing the passageway through the thick-walled tube. The process for making the fitting includes placing an end portion of the thick-walled tube into engagement with a tube engaging surface of a tapered generally cylindrical wall of a guide rod.
Pipe joint made of synthetic resin
A pipe joint, made of synthetic resin, including: an inner ring; a joint body having an annular sealing groove and a male screw portion formed on an outer circumference; a union nut having a female screw portion formed on an inner circumference to be tightened onto the male screw portion of the joint body, such that a first opposing surface is formed in the joint body to be perpendicular to an axial direction, and a second opposing surface is formed in the union nut to oppose the first opposing surface. An engagement projection is provided in one of the first opposing surface and the second opposing surface. An engagement recess is provided in the other of the first opposing surface and the second opposing surface such that the engagement projection engages with the engagement recess when the union nut has been tightened up to an appropriate position.
Flared exhaust gas pressure tube having keyed washer
An exhaust gas pressure tube assembly and a method for making the tube are disclosed. The assembly includes a keyed washer having a concave conical opening and an exhaust gas pressure tube having an open end for attachment to the boss. The assembly method includes positioning the washer adjacent the boss attachment open end of the pressure tube such that the concave conical opening of the washer faces the open end. A tool is positioned against a washer side and a mandrel having a conical outer surface is then inserted into the open end, causing the open end to be flared against the opening of the washer. The surface of the concave conical opening of the washer may be either smooth or knurled. If the surface is smooth, the mandrel is retained in its flaring position and a brazing or similar procedure to form a strong and gas-tight seal.
Screw connection
In order to prevent gap corrosion at a freely accessible face of a threaded connection (1) in particular when used in sea water the threaded connection (1) is encapsulated in a circumferential tight annular chamber (3) in order to prevent a penetration of sea water to the threaded connection (1) and thus prevent the gap corrosion between the two threads (2, b) of the threaded connection (1) meshing with each other. This is achieved by a particularly pressure tight and long service life primary seal (6) and advantageously a supplemental secondary seal (16), in particular for a threaded connection (1) which seals a cable pass through (15) of a housing (22).
