Air Intake Assembly and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein are air intake assemblies for internal combustion engines. In some embodiments, an air intake assembly includes an air filter configured to produce filtered air, a sealed filter housing configured to house the air filter therein, and an intake tube configured to convey the filtered air to an internal combustion engine. The filter housing includes an air intake port configured to provide intake air to the air filter. The air filter is configured to remove particulate matter from the intake air and produce the filtered air. The air filter includes a multi-component coupling interface configured to accept an intake-end portion of the intake tube in the coupling interface. The filter housing includes an aperture configured to accept the coupling interface of the air filter in the aperture. Also disclosed herein are methods of the air intake assemblies.
Apparatus for connection and sealing of utility connections
Pipe connector for coupling a first-end pipe and a second-end pipe that includes intermediary attachment connectors for each of the first-end and second-end pipes. The attachment connectors include O-ring slots machined into an external perimeter surface and a movable sleeve that engages with the intermediary attachment connectors to form a seal between the O-ring slots and an internal perimeter surface of the sleeve.
EXPANDABLE CONNECTION FOR EXPANDABLE TUBULARS
One illustrative method disclosed herein includes positioning a first tubular adjacent a second tubular, wherein one of the first and second tubulars includes a plurality of radially deflectable fingers formed in an end thereof, mating the first and second tubulars into mated engagement with one another, wherein, during the mating of the first and second tubulars, the radially deflectable fingers deflect in a radial direction, and expanding the first and second tubulars by forcing an expansion mandrel through the mated first and second tubulars such that the expanded first and second tubulars have an expanded inside diameter that is greater than an initial inside diameter of the first and second tubulars.
The filter housing includes an aperture configured to accept the coupling interface of the air filter in the aperture. Also disclosed herein are methods of the air intake assemblies.
Pipe sleeve system and method of use
A pipe sleeve includes an elongated cylindrical body extending from a base to a top; an anchor rigidly attached to a first position of the elongated cylindrical body, the anchor having an attachment device to secure to a structure; and extendable legs secured to the elongated cylindrical body, the legs each having a foot; each of the extendable legs can be extended a distance to keep a top surface of the elongated cylindrical body level.
Pipe coupling
A pipe coupling includes a sleeve and a clamping ring. The sleeve includes a flange at least one end. The clamping ring is mounted to the flange. The clamping ring carries a seal and includes two spaced apart bolt engagement portions. The clamping ring further includes two separate clamping ring portions that are removably connected together at a coupling portion of each respective separate clamping ring portion so that each clamping ring portion is separable from the other one. The two separate clamping ring portions function as a unitary ring when the coupling portions are brought into abutting contact such that the coupling portions are fixed relative to each other.
Fluid couplings, systems, and methods
A coupling includes a male adapter and a female adapter, and may include a nut and a sleeve. In embodiments, the male adapter includes a male adapter inner diameter, and may include threads. A method of operating a fluid coupling may include providing a first member, a second member, a nut, and a sleeve, connecting the sleeve with the nut such that rotation of the sleeve causes rotation of the nut, rotating the sleeve to connect the first member with the second member, engaging an inner ratchet profile of the sleeve with a ratchet profile of a shoulder of the first member, and covering the shoulder of the first member, including the ratchet profile, with the sleeve.
